Sick of this rain, its like its every weekend. I want to get out into the garden!! It doersnt half hold you back, and all the jobs I wanted to get done this weekend are outside (I do have jobs to do inside, but I dont want to do them :))

Oh just get those indoor jobs done and out of the way :)

I was outside far earlier today than I would normally have been on a Sunday, wanted to get my hay racks planted up. I have to be careful, up a stepladder, which just fits on decking, that is the seating on my raised benches/storage......

But all 4 done before the rain got persistant :)

    Happy midwinter :D

Thanks CupofTea, what flavour/s did you buy today that worked?

Orange and raspb. But someone posted yesterday buying orange and cherry and it worked. So I think that is another option.
    Cup of Tea? :coffee:

Awww, how kind, but yes, not the same. It wasnt really an item that I wanted, so best just to take one and leave the rest for someone that will benefit. Now if it was 1p beer ...............

You wait once you have done it once you won't be leaving the stuff behind, scanning 1p stuff becomes an addiction. :o

Oooo, you just reminded me, I have one of those that is still in the box from a couple of years ago, was a sainsburgs end of season bargain. Do I need to line it with something like a hanging backet? And if so, what did you find was best? Think I might put it up this year, as am growing flowers for the first time (I usually just grow things that I can safely put in my mouth. )

The store I went too (thought a change of store for a week or two may be a good idea ;)) also had a self-scanner :j Never been to a store with one of these before, it was so exciting.....little things and all that! (Pity the store was so small, especially for an extra!)

That's what I got yesterday when the orange was not showing in the offer. Only got 1 of each so might try again today. I am breaking myself in gently back to the world of APG. :o

Right quick shower and whoopsie time. Catch you all laters. Hope Dotty will be up tonight. :)

    Good morning all.
Cici so sorry to hear about your dad. Glad you were able to see and talk to him, and that he seemed better.
It looks as if it's going to be a lovely day here. The sun has just risen, the sky is blue and the sea is calm. It is 82 degrees. There is a cruise ship in the distance waiting to come in and dock at St Johns, so town will be busy today. A couple more pics for you, birds this time.

EDIT, blind as a bat, it's not a cruise ship at all. :o Now it's come closer I can see it's a container ship.:o

The same store also had easter eggs in, so I excitedly scanned them, but they were still £10

Sorry to drag the thread down. But I wanted to share this story and say how appalled I am. I wish those politicians in their big houses, with their holiday homes in the South of France would think things through properly and apply this tax to those who merit it, not those who are already on the breadline. This poor, poor woman - How I wish she'd come to this thread and we could have helped her. Of that I am sure.

    http://news.sky.com/story/1089813/bedroom-tax-blamed-for-womans-suicide[/QU

My friend put this on FB last night and my response was....
To blame a tax, thats not actually a tax, thats been on the go 7 weeks is a bit unfounded I'd say... People should move out of houses that are too big...

Oh yes I agree that those with empty rooms should consider moving to allow those without enough rooms to live better for some people it isn't really an option. Some people are unwell and moving would be too difficult and even detrimental to their health, it's difficult to find a 'one fits all' solution unfortunately :( I also noted at the bottom it quotes The Samaritans as saying that suicide usually stems from more than one problem, this lady was already struggling with her health so the headline is a bit mis-leading in that sense. It's just so awful that in today's society people feel that suicide is the only way :(
