I've got nothing against Eastern Europeans I just don't want them living here.
I live in london and seen it change considerably in the last 10 years not for the good I must stress.
I live in London and it isn't the Eastern Europeans that are the problem, most, if not all, have jobs and contribute to the British economy and the coffers. I have more of a problem with the natives, it isn't lazy EU citizens that are a drain on the UK, it is lazy Britons!

My local JCP is full of British people claiming benefits (or at least trying to), I have yet to come across an out of work EU citizen who came here specifically for the benefits, British people on the other hand, those I have met are overwhelmingly on benefits of some kind that they don't need.

As far as I am concerned, the government should be focusing on the failures of Britons rather than the so-called EU problem. London has changed for the better in my opinion, however some areas are dreadful... all full of British people not EU citizens. That said I do find it hilarious that in order to ask someone for a light in London, you're best bet is to ask in French :rotfl:

As for the EU making it easier to access banking in EU countries, then yay, this is a good thing I feel :)

How can London have changed for the better when the latest police commissioners report arrested more Eastern Europeans in london in the last year then ANYONE else.

    Latest figures report
More than 400,000 migrants who were admitted to Britain to work, study or go on holiday are now claiming out-of-work benefits, according to official figures compiled for the first time.

Nigel Farage and David Cameron will stay strangely silent on this fact
That's the issue - we're not being told all the facts by anyone. They just use the selective bits of information that suit to further their own objectives. I have yet to see a politician, or a paper, or a TV station, that actually provides a complete set of information, based on which everyone can make up their own mind.

Have you got links (URLs) please for the source(s) of this information?

EDIT: looked on the Met website - there are extensive crime statistics but nothing that shows the crimes by nationality. http://www.met.police.uk/crimefigures/

Yes such robust sources. Honestly if you take the Daily Mail seriously you will develop complex tabloid paranoid syndrome and if it wasn't eastern Europeans or the EU it will be something else. I can see the headlines now: Too many Scots, Welsh and Northerners are damaging traditional English culture! And when they've gone they'll start on Swindon

Yup, and I say that as someone who used to compile the Commissioners Report along with the HMIC and Home Office reports in a previous life. Surely you don't believe police crime statistics do you? :)

I guess if you live in the poor areas of London it hasn't changed for the better, I however don't live in a poor area and the Eastern Europeans and other EU citizens have made London better.

I also don't believe that they have arrested more Eastern Europeans than anyone else, the report appears to include everyone that comes here whether to live or holiday.

EU citizens or are you including all immigrants here? All I keep reading is the figures regarding Romanians which I have a feeling includes Roma, they are gypsies and no one likes them in Romania nor here, also nearly 30,000 arrests over 5 years? that is an average of 6,000 per year, I wouldn't jump up and down just yet, the Brits still lead the charge ;)

Thanks for posting the links that you use as your sources. I do notice that one of them says
More than a quarter of all criminal suspects arrested in London are foreign nationals with around half coming from the EU, Scotland Yard revealed today

If that is the truth, around 75% of the criminals in London are UK nationals. Approx. 12.5% are EU nationals, with an unspecified percentage coming from Eastern Europe. Therefore it's hard to see why you stated that last year more Eastern Europeans were arrested in London than anyone else.

I don't condone any criminals so don't want to be misunderstood - - however, why are you focussing your anger against a minor percentage of them?

This is just Romanians without the Free movement treaty that comes in force next January. Wonder what it will be like when 50k arrive each year!
