LOL, yes, that did make me laugh. If KHS try a little harder next time, they stand a good chance to scoop a Darwin Award.0

I'm rather fond of the fact that when my other half needed medical treatment in Poland it was all done for free thanks to her EU medical insurance card.
But of course it's just euro-scroungers screwing the NHS, isn't it...0 -

yes I am very well, thanks for askingAre you ok?Whats a Brit walking about in Benidorm got to do with 1 million plus polish migrants entering our country and fall into our welfare system.
"a" Brit walking into Benidorm wouldn't have concreted over a beautiful part of the world and driven locals away. Hundreds of thousands of Brits, helped by equal numbers of Germans and Scandinavians, have managed to do that, in plenty of places all over the Med and the Canaries. Before you say these british/german/scandinavian migrants have helped the economy in their chosen guest country - - - just have a look at the state of affairs in these countries. The UK is heaven compared with Spain (leaving the weather out of the debate).
As to 1 million plus polish migrants "falling into our welfare system" --- what independently verified numbers can you offer to support your suggestion that these people came here to leech on the british benefits system? I don't have any more independently verified numbers than I believe you have, but my hunch is that most of those migrants are actually working very hard.0 -
Most of the Poles I know work in mainly low paid occupations. If we send them all back Lets hope there'll be enough Brits willing to take over. Re the EU it is not perfect and I have no issue with people entering into a sensible debate as to our future within the EU but equating the EU with the Nazi's or the Soviet Union is nonsense likewise immigration existed before our entry into the EU. I personally like the protection provided by the EU - problem is the Daily Mail and the Express only provide the bad news from Europe. I agree with innovate we need sensible figures from both sides of the fence.0

I done 5 years in the forces and got told I wouldn't be housed only to find out a Slovakian had moved into a council flat above my nan.
My step dad was a sheet metal worker for 22 years only to be told he was no longer wanted only to find 9 workers were employed from Eastern Europe on minimum wage.
Maybe one day when migration hits you you'll have a different opinion.
Ps I've nothing against these people but we as a country are full up FACT.0 -

Immigration affects us all but not everyone has a negative experience. No one is suggesting that immigration doesn't need to be controlled but I wouldn't refer to immigrants as 'these' people. But immigration is needed - medical staff for example are much sought. But remember there are British people in Europe, the US, Australia, Japan and yes they are immigrants too. But it's funny people always object to eastern Europeans but fail to object to the thousands of French, Americans, Australians and Germans living in this country but perhaps if your 'western' this is acceptable. As for the armed forces if I can recall there are many Nepalese, Fijians and even Southern Irish in the army many of whom also faced pressures post discharge.0 -

I totally agree it was only on the news the other day that the Yanks & Japenese were spotted running behind lorries at Calais!!0 -

Missed the point there. The people in Calais are not EU residents. They'll be from non EU countries. Poles and Czechs can legally come here with a mere passport. But even if we leave the EU we will probably remain in the EEA which will mean we will have to adopt EU directives and regulations but without representation. Nigel Farage and David Cameron will stay strangely silent on this fact0
