Am not going to give you a morality rant ..... but!
I will give you abit of advice, that is dont sign off.
I have watched a family member be destroyed by anxiety and panic, the worse thing you can do is hide away from it. It wont be a pleasant experience but I would fight it head on. If you start to avoid situations that trigger your panic you will only re-enforce it and in the long run, will only make treatment longer and harder.
The best advice I could offer is, learn to breath when you are at your worse, stay dont run ( I know thats hard ) but stay and let yourself be afraid, it will eventually die down and each time you confront it, the fear will be less and less, till the point comes your as normal as anyother person in that situation.
If you dont fight it and hide away in a safe place just so you dont feel any fear, then you will end up agrophobic with no life.
Take your meds, go sign on, breath and maybe watch some youtube videos on relaxation. Remember the fear will die and pass. Tell the advisor at the jobcentre that you suffer anxiety, its not a crime. If you think its depression causing your panic then ask your Dr for anti-depressants.
But dont give into your fears.
Best of luck....
This ^^
For two reasons - once you give in to the panic attacks, they will take over your life, and it is unlikely you will pass the ESA assessment at thirteen weeks with the symptoms you describe.
Why do you feel that you become panicked? Are you able to rationalise that fear?0 -
The OP has asked this question 2 or 3 times before going back a couple of years, but each time for a different reason/illnesses... seems advice has already been given.0

I wonder if you can help me . some weeks ago I when to my doctor and she told me that I have panic attacks and is now on meds. ever since then I've bin trying to manage my panic attack . but the thing is I can not put one foot in the door of the job center before I have a horrible panic attack . I'm on JSA and the last time I when to sign on I had a horrible panic attack (which I found it hard to control)
do you think I should sign off of JSA ? . as I said I did have a horrible panic attack while I was signing on some weeks ago . please can I have your advice on this matter .
Are you having problems going out or just going to the Jobcentre? Are you still on the work programme?
I think you have had lots of good advice on the post from other people. You have asked this question before and also been given the same good advice. You need to work with the GP and CNP to overcome these attacks. You will not be allowed to remain on ESA because of this illness alone.0 -

So you think im faking it do you , well i have proof from my doctor and the doctor has put me on meds for panic disorder. Now what more proof do you need?? . Believe me having a panic attacks is not a joke. And what has this go to do with my OP???don't be a hypocrite all your life. God is watching YOU0 -
Having read through your previous thread, you refer to your JSA as 'Getting Paid'. JSA is not getting paid, it's getting just enough to live off.
You claim to have dyslexia, yet as I once had dyslexia your claims are not true.
Real Dyslexia means you don't see letters and sometimes numbers you just see shapes. Although I had it 20 years ago and it was 'cured' I still forget how to spell simple words such as 'the or and', sometimes those words make know sense to me yet I have never felt the need to claim any benefits.
You complain about having to go on a training course, whats wrong with that? Are you missing jeremy Kyle and loose women? The government should have you in training every day monday - friday starting at 9am, you will soon find a job.
Now it's a mental health claim, it's people who make false claims that make it harder for people with real problems.
Good on the Job centre for making you do earn this weeks 'wage' and making you stressed for one week, now you know what the rest of us feel like at work for 40-50 hours a week and just about cover the bills.0 -
