Thanks again Stroma, I am going to do this as you suggest. Thanks also for the link but what I should have typed was that I don't have an email address for them, sorry to have confused. I will send a letter just as you suggest quoting the code as you copied. Your support is great, I feel I am in the right but the help I have had here has enabled me to deal with this in a way I wouldn't have been able to without advice from this forum. My letter will be in first class post tomorrow.

Just quote this from the bpa code of practice. Simply say in your letter is that as you can see that I have supplied proof of ringing the number out of courtesy, but as the BPA Code of Practice says you MUST now cancel this fake ticket per the text below

Then if they do come back again with a rejection, I would seriously consider sending the a notice before action, with harassment claim for the £350 I mentioned above. But only do this if you seriously are going to do this.

By the way the reason for the £350 figure is that they like that number, and have issued a number of claims with that outrageous figure.
Claiming up £300 will cost only £25 while claiming £300.01 up to £500 will cost £35 in court fees (which you will be awarded if/when you win).
