I never said the T&Cs say you must keep a record yourself of your cards. It's just common sense to protect yourself, and to reduce the stress you would no doubt be under if you just had your wallet with half a dozen or more cards nicked.

As to the IMEI number: How would you propose you find out out the IMEI number when your phone has been stolen? Other than by keeping a record of it? You will have to provide proof of the IMEI with any claim, too.

The insurances will be of little/no use if you don't know which cards you have lost or what your phone's IMEI number is.

I think you will find it impossible to prove that I have not read the T&Cs - - mainly for the reason that I did read them.
You really ought to follow your own advice...when in a hole...

The T&Cs do not state you need to give your IMEI number to the police, as you claimed. So you don't need to have it accessible within 24 hours, as you claimed. The T&Cs state you can register your cards, not that you must, or must keep a note of them all, as you claimed.
