Ah, see that's your problem; attention to detail. We are discussing Nationwide here, not Natwest, which, just to confirm, are two separate banks (or building society in Nationwide's case if you want to split hairs!).
I'm telling you now that you won't need a crime number when making a claim.
By all means go ahead I'm just saying you won't need it!!!!!0 -

Thankfully, I don't have to claim as I haven't had my phone lost or stolen, but now that you've set me straight, I won't bother reporting it to the police should the situation ever arise.
Many thanks for your input.:D:beer:Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!

How much more ridiculous will you get? You are in a hole, stop digging. You could have just admitted that you got it wrong because you didn't actually check out the T&Cs.0 -
Well, what more is there to say. Not only have you shot your own credibility to pieces, you also lack basic courtesy and appear to think being abusive will make your argument stronger. I can only feel sorry for you.0

Huh? Where did I not check out the T&Cs?
Nothing in the T&Cs about that. Thus you must have a record yourself of all your cards, and make sure you can get at that record as and if disaster strikes.
Nothing in the T&Cs about that.Similar applies to the phone cover - - they say you do not need to register your phone. So as and if you lose your phone, how do you find out its IMEI number (that you have to give to the Police, otherwise your insurance isn't valid)0 -
I never said the T&Cs say you must keep a record yourself of your cards. It's just common sense to protect yourself, and to reduce the stress you would no doubt be under if you just had your wallet with half a dozen or more cards nicked.
As to the IMEI number: How would you propose you find out out the IMEI number when your phone has been stolen? Other than by keeping a record of it? You will have to provide proof of the IMEI with any claim, too.
The insurances will be of little/no use if you don't know which cards you have lost or what your phone's IMEI number is.
I think you will find it impossible to prove that I have not read the T&Cs - - mainly for the reason that I did read them.0 -
I have lost my phone before, but a quick call to my provider, giving them my mobile phone number, name, make and model of phone, address and the answers to a few other security informations, they not only told me what my IMEI was, but also the general location of where it was last used. I found it from that information as it told me where to focus my search.0
