Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Many thanks to Natty for last weeks thread

There are 3 levels per day with level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

    Hi all

    I'm in again this week.

Thank you to all those that contribute to the thread and Natty & Dusty for running it each week. I live on my own with my 3 child substitutes (my cats) and I don't feel so on my own doing the most mundane of tasks. So thanks to each and everyone of you who post and share your lives with the fred.

My ironing has been completed for the week. My DM did 2 loads for me yesterday as the WM is out of action (how I've taken that appliance for granted!)

My plan of action for tomorrow

Go for a 30 min run (have a 10k race in 2 weeks and I've lost my running mojo, at this rate I won't be able to walk it if I don't get my a$$ into gear, if someone could give me a kick I'd appreaciate it)
    Cut the grass
Go to bee & que for weed remover & look at cushions for the LR
Remove some weeds from the garden
    Wash the pots
    Plant 1st lot of seeds
Bake a carrot cake (need to use up some carrots)
    Clean the sunroom
    Wash wellies

Ok anymore and I will feel overwhelmed.

    Have a lovely BH all

    Deco x

Yes, thanks for organising us Natty and Dusty.
2 more days off for me as I don't work Tuesdays.
    Plan:
mainly gardening tomorrow I think, OH and I are on a roll to try and get it under some sort of control. A hideous giant bindweed keeps creeping through from next door, and is coming up worse than ever this year. We don't like weedkillers normally, but I think we're going to have to give in.
Have planted out half my pea seedlings today so hope we don't get any more frost. 2nd half out tomorrow.
Bean seeds soaking overnight for sowing tomorrow.
Loads of other stuff garden-wise, too much to list.
Need to order some assessment resources as I've got a link to a special offer; mustn't miss it as the kits are so expensive.
Need to prepare for private assessment on Friday.
Various house de-cluttering; it isn't too bad at the moment.

    Enjoy yourselves everyone.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Ty... we are in... builder coming to sort bathroom/kitchen on Tuesday he claims.. he said last Thursday but... well you know how these people are!

    So.. tomorrow..

OH and the boys are shifting some stuff to the loft.. then he can mince the grass! DS3 gets to go poo picking and DS2 can pick up the recycling off their bedroom floor!
I get to empty the kitchen which will take FOREVER
The girls get to tidy their respective rooms
DD2 to revise for history exam on Tuesday.

I am so sick of the mess and being unable to do anything about it! It is driving me crazy!

Finished off yesterdays chicken casserole tonight.. why do these things always taste better warmed through the next day?

Got all the oven trays etc through the DW :D

I need to get out the sewing machine and sort DD2's curtains and some for the girls room and some for the playhouse.. And I still have to go through the ebay mountains.. it is pointless selling anything now the postage costs are total extortion... I might do the 2 boxes in here now actually.. while I am annoyed by its presence.

Bank Holiday Monday - Light list
    Level 1
HH tidying or decluttering.. kitchen worksurface of doom.. again
Hoover and mop the worst bits . needs delegating
    Level 2
Meal plan for the week.. I don't do meal plans
Collect the laundry and put a wash on/or strip a bed .. delegated to children
    Level 3
Give sinks and toilets a scrub did this today
HHI .. a what?! or mending .. might get these curtains done!
    Extras
If the sun shines try to do a 15 minute outside job.. OH to mince the grass
Empty all your bins.. DS3's normal Monday job.. binday on Tuesdays you see! Though my recycling bins have been full to bursting since Wednesday.. I need to ring up for a third one.

Thank you for the new thread Dusty, I'm in.

We plan to go to the beach tomorrow. I hope the sea breeze isn't too chilly.

Off to bed now. I'm tired after an early start for the boys football. Both won 4-3 and 3-0. DS3 got a goal so has had an excellent weekend after his delayed birthday party yesterday.

I hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow x

MMM hope your DD continues to recover

Kitchen all tidy and DM emptied. Our bed made and DS2 has one his, DS1 probaby hasn't yet but that's not my problem.

DH has finished washing the LR ceiling so will paint it tomorrow; floor boards all prepped ready for sanding next weekend.

Tomorrow will be mainly laundry and gardening, hoping for an early start so off to bed now.

    Good evening :D

I am in. Thanks Dusty for the lists. MMM I hope DD is recovering well.
My big item has just finished on ebay. It looked like it was staying the same until the last few seconds then leapt up £61 :j The dutch man has still probably got a bargain, but at least we can pay off BIL now :o The other bid was from some one in Germany (it states 'collection only' !!) Dah!

Walked the dog early this morning :) Then I meal planned the children's food for the week, S&S the kitchen, washed up, set off the DW & descaled the kettle. Then spent the afternoon at my mum's :)
Haven't done much else except catch up on some TV (Dr Who, Big Bang & Dallas)
I will try and update my list for tomorrow

Honeybear - maybe you could phone the company/charity and explain the situation. They could get you checked out and then you could just let them know if & when you are ready. LW did make some good points though.

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them x
