. Even so, had I found the problem I would have to reject the whole lot not just one due to their poor systems.
I have removed sad comment, disappointing would have been nearer.
Anyway all I can add is the experience left me far less likely to consider buying from Asda again, what is sad is they could fix this.
Bought a pair of suitcases from LIDL. One had a broken wheel. So I have to take the pair back and get a full refund. No way for them to just replace one or just refund me for one.
That's just the way it is.
Will I stop going to LIDL because of this? No. Am I disappointed that they just can't replace the broken suitcase? A little, as I like the design and function.
But at the same time I entirely understand why they cannot.
What are you thinking??
Seriously, run away from this thread as fast as you can.0 -
This would be better if it was posted in the consumer rights section

No...it would have been better to have not been posted at all. The OP is at fault. He didn't check the thing properly. Noted the fault too late and now wants the store to kow-tow to him in order to receive a replacement in an unreasonable time frame.
Order a new one and send the other back. Drama over.0 -
We are not here to tell people what they can or cant post ... And once again it would be better posted on the section of the forum that deals with consumer rights...
You would be very surprised what rights we do have even though business will try and deviate from them in their terms and conditions.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -
But the OP wasn't after information on his consumer rights. We are not here to tell people what they can or cant post ... And once again it would be better posted on the section of the forum that deals with consumer rights...

The correct advice on where to post was given in the first reply.0 -

Well, based on one person's experience I'm certainly boycotting them.0

If it's an iPad you can take it directly to Apple for a replacement.
If not, then I don't see the big deal anyway.. they're effectively willing to replace it, it's just that the way they do it is by refunding you and you then order another one. A little inconvenient but no big deal. What will your verse be?

This is terrible. I'm never shopping in Asda again.0
