Afternoon every one, i'm getting the kitchen done slowly very slowly but the kids are in dance and art class staight after school so that gives me an extra hour before i have to go pick them up. Think i'm suffering with hay fever eyes feel awful and feel really tired to .Took kids to school this morning dd3 came out in a rash on her cheeks but said dhe felt ok so school said they'd ring if it got worse, ds had to dress up as a victorian for the day.
need to get back in the kitchen but can't seem to be able to move myself .
Hopefully when i report back later i will be able to say the kitchen is done.

Aargh, the sound of me switching the kettle on seems to have woken DS2 from his nap  Fingers crossed he will settle back down!

Just wondering, on a kitchen cleaning topic, how often do you clean your bin (I mean wash it out with bleach or whatever), and what day do you do it? I wanted to do it today but there is a bag in there 1/2 full - too full to take out and dump on the floor but not full enough to put out! I'm thinking I should make it a habit to do once a week on a Thursday morning as the binmen come on a Thursday, so I could take the bag out whether it was full or not.

We have fortnightly collections alternating with our composting bin collection for the main wheely bin which gets done only occasionally as I always bag the rubbish up in there anyway. The composting caddy gets done each time I empty it of course! The main bin in the kitchen gets a spray and wipe each time I put a new bag in as it is only dry packaging normally. Our recycling bin (for tins plastic bottles and glass which I take to the centre each Tuesday (ASDA day) ) I do when I get back with it.

Done the kettle and the filter jug and booked the dentbuster to come and do my car tomorrow - some moron ran a trolley into the back door at a cash and carry place.... more expense caused by idiots!

I usually do my bin weekly when it's bin day, kind of makes sense to me. That's a Tuesday for us, sometimes if it needs a good soak I do it on a Monday night after emotying the bin. Composting box for glass, cans, paper etc fortnightly when collected, outside one for green stuff, erm, was done last year :rotfl:

Puppy was on starve but just stole other dogs food an hour ago, I rang the vets she said if no better by Friday will sort then as long as she's still drinking, which she definately is as just tiddled on the floor! (she has appointment anyway) if she gets very poorly just to ring her, can't moan her vets lovely but also honest and practical. They help run the local stray service, she's just one of those genuinely lovely people.

Doh thought I had tutorial this Wednesday, nope next week, DP had arranged for his brother to come over for a playstation session while I was out, so will be ringing round friends later to find somewhere to hide on Wednesday night!!!

    Oh my extras

    [STRIKE]Pack and post ebay item
Get tax for my car sorted
Make GP and nurse appointment for me[/STRIKE]
    Finish my bedroom
    Finish sorting OU stuff
Find reciepts that need to be sent of and get them posted :( can't find them
Fill in some forms for hols I need to send back :( can't find them
    [STRIKE]Order some forms from OU
3 loads of laundry to catch up (then hopefully will be empty if DS2 doesn't wet for 5th night in row grrrr!)
Sort out borrowing suitcases from someone[/STRIKE] found one for £10 so got it, cheaper than petrol collecting/dropping one off

Still a few to do :o but went out for dinner then shopping instead :o

Oh and I don't think the curtains have shrank, that just saved m a fortune in dry cleaning :D:D:D

Dustykitten sounds like DS is better, hope the chatter box is a good sign!
One day I might be more organised...........

Managed to have a quick blast while Charlie dangled in the door bouncer. I've managed to perfect the nudge with one foot while hands are busy, also singing my head off so our neighbours will probably think i am a nutter.

    Good morning flyers

 waved my DD off for a 4 day school trip this morning, came home, had a little cry to myself ( I hate my kids going away, but know she will have a brilliant time)

I feel ready to get on with this flying now...

    kitchen and dining room
[STRIKE]hang washing out (sunny just now)[/STRIKE] and brought in 2 loads
    [STRIKE]hoover
    stairs[/STRIKE]ironing
make menu plan and do some shopping
[STRIKE]cut the grass[/STRIKE] planted some herbs and neatened the edge

Quick update: it is a lovely day here in eastern Bonnie Scotland, rain forcast for tonight and tomorrow so made the most of it by working in the garden.
I will do kitchen after tea, I hate having worked hard on it during the day only to have to start cooking: chopping, etc ( I make a mess) so will do it as soon as our meal is over.
Have a meeting tonight and going to my friend afterwards so I don't think the ironing will get done.. OH well..
