Welcome to all the new flying ladies!

Tomorrow I am doing things a little differently.
After 4 days of having all 5 kids at home, it has been wrecked!

And tomorrow morning at 10 I will get a visit from someone about a new heating system... so from 8:15 till arrival of this person I will be blitzing through the living room, and kitchen to make sure this person doesn't faint from the shock!.. :rotfl: :rotfl:

After that it's work so.. sigh... :D

I have been terribly busy today though.. did ALL the washing.. and ALL the ironing.. and if you know that I have 5 children, and wash/iron only on weekends you can take a wild guess of how many pieces of clothing I've held today!! And i even managed to take the kids out to a petting zoo for a few hours!! Well, husband helped, I'll have to admit that! :rotfl: :A

    have a good day everyone!!

just noticed shirley lots of bathroom work going on there! rather than dump, why not freecycle it? as long as the cabinet is in working order somebody will come and take it from you :) and any other bathroom bits ur getting rid off. Sorry i just hate to see things throwen out when somebody else is prob looking for that very item
  • This is great! I actually thought I was going mad or had some kind of compulsive disorder! I just can't get in to a routine with my housework and badly need some help! don't get me wrong, my house is clean and tidy most of the time but I def need some tips! I have tried doing a list to get a routine going but this is better! It is good having someone to talk to about it too cos i'm sure my friends and family can't see what I'm worrying about!!!!

The mad thing is that I go out to clean other people's houses and do a great job there - mind you, i am getting paid to do that! It's a really satisfying job - much more than the last 18 years I've spent in an office!

I had a whole list of stuff to do today but had 2 extra kids staying over so had to keep them entertained! Then, because the weather was good, I cut some of the grass in my back garden - result: nice tidy area round washing line but i fell asleep on the couch for half hour then went to bed at 7 and slept till 10pm!

Janiedoll, welcome! It's true, most of us are impressively disorganised and if you take our flylady lists away from us, our houses descend into chaos once more :rotfl: . Come on in for chatting, moaning, laughing and sometimes we even get some cleaning done, but only if we have the time :D .

I hope the LOs are better today dustykitten, it's so quiet when they're poorly, isn't it? I hate it when Owen's ill, he's lovely with it (he just cuddles me on the sofa all day), but his whole personality changes, he gets so weak and silent, I'd much rather he were bashing me with a sword like usual ;) .

Lil_me, poor puppy! Poor you! Rotten bone puppy sick is not a laughing matter, hope she's better soon.

Good luck for your dress cha97michelle, weddings are a bit love/hate for me. I love the meaning, symbolism and service, but I hate worrying about how I'll look, what I'll wear and the size of my butt! I bet you'll look gorgeous.

Good luck to emmy too, you'll find that flying makes a difference in no time. I used to hate my house, but now I'm really proud of it. I even have time to decorate, put flowers ot and generally just "pretty" things up. Well, I did have the time until the baby was born!

Big day for me today, MIL's coming over to help me de-gunge the bits that have been ignored since Freya's arrival, so we will be:

    Cleaning the windows
[STRIKE]Cleaning ALL floors, including under furniture[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Cleaning the bath[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Vacuuming the skirting boards[/STRIKE]
    Cleaning out the fridge
    Vacuum the sofas
    [STRIKE]Dust throughout[/STRIKE]

And anything else we come across!

    Dailies

    [STRIKE]Make the beds[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Make Owen's lunch[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Put the washing on[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]S and S bathroom[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]S and S sitting room[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]S and S kitchen[/STRIKE]

    Manic Monday - Kitchen

    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Checking for cobwebs on way round
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week

Plus, Owen has his booster jabs tomorrow - nothing like setting yourself a challenge for the day, is there? :rotfl:

Good luck to all for the week ahead, I hope things get better for those who need it and stay happy to the rest. x

I would freecycle it, but it's in a total state, but you never know, I'll take a proper look at it once it's off the wall.

    Morning all :hello:

Wow - what a lot of fluttering already! It's only 8am and I already feel behind with stuff .....

Miserable day here so far - mizzly rain and very dull.

My thoughts to you Shirley - remember that they are virtually a different species - it helps somehow. Just keep going and keep smiling. If it dont fix it it, will at least annoy the hell out of him.

Dustykitten - hope your youngsters are feeling a bit better -they soudned really poorly - it isnt one of Holly's old bones is it??

Lil_me - hope the said Hollypup is feeling a bit better -they bounce back quick enough - a bit of live yoghurt will help her gut get back to normal too.

Welcome to all the new flyers!!! If you have time for housework after getting hooked into reading here you will be doing really well :rotfl:
