The order I placed to be delivered to store is another matter... went to collect it today and luckily I asked the woman to open the box for me and inside it was just an empty Lancome bag, not the free gifts and not even the product I paid for!! It would be laughable if I hadn't made a wasted trip into town to collect it. Will see what CS say about this as the store said there was nothing they could/would do!

If it was a small item they put a cardboard piece over it and it can look like an empty box, I once had one with party feet, took a while to realise that there was this cover placed over them to stop the item moving around,

Yes they phoned me last Monday after I sent them an email. I'd already phoned them twice before that and still hadn't received an email from them like a lot of others on here had.
When I got up yesterday, 500 points had been added onto my account and the free gift came via royal mail yesterday too. It's lovely.......thanks OP for posting this glitch. Proper bargain :T

It was when they removed that piece of cardboard that we found the empty paper bag but that's all that was in the box. It turned out the product I ordered was OOS so they had just sent the empty Lancome bag and because it said 'gift bag' on the order the staff wouldn't believe me that the free gift was actual products and not an empty gift bag. She was quite happy to tell me there was nothing she could do and that I was obviously wrong about free gifts so I just rung CS when I got home. Usually you get helpful staff but sometimes they can't be bothered and this was just one of those times.

Hi, No I didn't have any confirmation of dispatch, it just arrived in the post. But it's too big to go through a letter box, so if you're out it will probably end up at the local sorting office waiting for you to collect.
