And what is the problem with doing the test?0 -
The main problem is threatening to withdraw someone's benefits if they don't complete an online test. Not everyone has easy internet access, some people think that those on benefits should not have access at all. Some people are not that literate and find it very difficult to fill in forms. If you're going to threaten someone with taking away their benefits then do it for a good reason, not just to get them to fill in a pointless form where the answers don't even relate to what you type in.0

Bogus by whose definition? (My computer's on strike and won't open the link so I don't have the details.)
I'm not a fan of psychometric testing but given that it's used in a lot of industries during the interview process, on the face of it it doesn't seem unreasonable for job seekers to be using and getting used those sorts of tests. Although I would draw the line at withdrawing benefits for declining to take part - I'd probably be one of the refuseniks myself. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I'll fill it in for £71.000

Psychometric testing if done correctly can help understand what makes a person tick. How to motivate someone and what type of roles they could be good at.
I think it could be a good thing. After all no-one wants to do a job that they are not capable of or would not be able to cope with. Equally it could help employers get the most out of the job applicant.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
The test they used makes you fill in a load of questions and then at the end says the same thing to everyone. You can tick any of the questions any way you want and it makes no difference to what it tells you. If you're going to make people fill in a survey to help them improve why not get them to fill in a real one?
Its like saying "read this paper or we'll withdraw your benefits" and then hand them a blank sheet of paper. It's just daft.0 -
Think of penguins or we'll withdraw your benefits.0
