    Thankyou OP. what a bargain!!
Thanks, but at the moment, I'm going to sound a warning.

I've just been to Currys to pick mine up and when I got there my order pick up time has been knocked back to 7th May. This is not good with Currys in my experience. I've ordered a few bargains like this with them, and many - the majority - have been cancelled by them for one reason or another.

The demand for this must have been massive, so if anyone gets one they've been lucky IMO.

    Hope you get one though.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Guess what everyone - you just bought a £29 Android 2.1 tablet :)

You can root it with instructions found here: http://lifehacker.com/5889158/turn-a-99-nook-into-a-fully-fledged-android-tablet-in-four-easy-steps

I just ordered using the direct manufacture link and they've got them in stock - http://uk.nook.com/tablets/nook-simple-touch
Cheers Ringo - have ordered via that link as I suspect my Currys one may not turn up.

If both turn up my son gets one too! It's a win-win!

Info starting to emerge in the media about why this sudden price drop has happened.

In my confirmation email I've been told I'll be getting mine by Tuesday 7th May. Maybe I'll go order one from the Nook website just incase lol. Thanks for this info :)

Well if we're going to say thank you to anyone for the link it would be Alisona, as she had posted it just as I had ordered mine from PC World. And I had been debating ordering one direct anyhow, due to my own previous experiences with them.

But I'll say thank you to you also as you told us about the offer :)
