Oh well, ended up doing more today than I planned! We decided not to go out, but had a good clearout round the house, which led to me going to the dump twice - but we do have more space now :j Of course, our good weather turned into rain each time I had to go outside, but was lovely and sunny when inside
So now it's time for a breakJust finished dinner (which was lovely) and I think we're going to sit down with a cuppa as we've really got through a lot today. The TD is on, and once it's finished another load of washing will go on. I think the evening will be spent watching TV and relaxing with my OH.
Have a great evening everyone*hugs* as usual :rotfl:

Hi all
It's been a lovely sunny weekend in Berkshire, which I was very greatful for as had my nearly 3yo DGS from yesterday afternoon, till 2 today, so it was lovely that he could play in the garden.
We played football & lots of other games, I've sung every nursery rhyme I know & played every silly game I could think off, he's tried on all my shoes & helped me clean out the rabbit & guinea pig & we took him to the local fish shop to get some more fish for our tank, we had a gift woucher, so this didn't eat into my £40 budget. We got some blue tux platys & some neons, he wanted to give them all names, but gave up when he realised how many there were. He went to bed at 7:30 last night & was still playing around at 10:30, he fell out of bed at 2am & despite all this got up at 6, so I'm having an early night tonight, just waiting for the lodger to phone for a lift from the station & then I'll turn in. Apart from babysitting, I got absolutely nothing O/S done, which is hardly surprising.
Hugs to all
Hester

Good evening – I feel so neglectful because I haven’t had time to come back on here since this morning! I have been thoroughly invaded today. DH’s brother and his son, 8yo, some of the neighbours and, this afternoon, DS1, DILtobe and DGS and DGD – an absolute madhouse! Fortunately, DH has been roped in to giving some of them a lift home so I have a couple of hours free. Had roast pork dinner planned which meant peeling thousands more veggies and ekeing the meat out with sausages (whatever would we do without sausages – they’ll fit any meal in an emergency!); afterwards the huge batch of cakes and bread I made was reduced to crumbs. I made loads yesterday and DH said ‘cor, that lot should last us all week!’ – you should have seen his face when they all started disappearing! Of course, the Weetabix Brownies were a big hit again! So, more baking tomorrow!
The weather has been lovely today – not brilliantly warm but warm enough for the LOs to play outside and I got roped into a game of footie – scored three goals and quite impressed the boys! Managed to list a few more items on eBay and have sold another book on Amazon so feeling quite pleased.
I’m afraid I have skimmed through the thread so fast that most of it hasn’t sunk in – I’ll try and read it before tomorrow. Of course, my visitors put paid to me doing the ironing so I have that to look forward to tomorrow. It has been a lovely but hectic day and I am so glad it wasn’t yesterday because I was so tired I kept dozing off!
I’m going to have a long soak in the bath and may treat myself to some wine and get on with my knitting – making something for the latest arrival (my nephew’s daughter who was born on Friday or was it Saturday? I‘ve lost track of time lately!
Anyway, hopefully be back to as near normal as possible tomorrow so I hope to have more time on here.
Will love you and leave you with (((hugs))) for all who need them and welcome to all newbies and a friendly pat to all new pets – will catch up with all the news tomorrow but want to wish (((hugs))) to AMIE’S dd after her trip to A&E and hello to that gorgeous puss, CRAZYCHIK!!

Had a non OS day yesterday and today.
Yesterday went to see elderly aunt and uncle about 8 miles away so that took up most of the day but we really enjoyed the day.
Today rang DD at uni and she sounded really ill and down so we did another 80 mile drive to see her - took a load of groceries to save her having to shop - brought her aromatherapy oils to help her cold and managed to talk her into going for a quick meal at the Italian restaurant a few streets away.
When we left she looked a lot happier so the time and effort was well justified.
Sunday lunch ingredients will make a meal tomorrow instead."This site is addictive!"

Hi Annie
Wash and Izzxy have been "helping" in the garden, supervising and then inspecting the digging work . When the visitors with baby DGD arrived, Wash decided to go and sit on the Catnip; Izzy decided that she wanted to be centre of attention (very unusual for her, she normallly hides from visitors) and was most concerned when her dadda (my DH) was cuddling the baby.
My name is Hazel and I'm a cataholic. My cats are my kids. I can't help it.0 -
Good evening old stylers :hello:
ended up having quite a busy day here too. I have cut back a bush so that I can actually get my car on the drive - didnt realise that it was originally a rockery and there was rocks underneath itDDog had a great time running around the street and following my neighbour around
he absolutely loves her. Got a total of 6 garden waste bags to go out for recycling on Wednesday plus filled up my composter with grass cuttings. Still have loads of cutting back to do as the hedge is taking over too but Im just going to do that one bit by bit. Managed to dry a line of washing too. Sorted out a load of old work stuff from the shed and garage that will go back to my ex employer when they collect my car in 2 weeks
the boot is full and I havent even started clearing out all the stuff in my office so that will all have to go on the back seat and probably the front seat too :rotfl: We had quorn mince with campbells tomato soup, mashed potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and butter beans for dinner - DD loved it. Took the DDog out for a walk after dinner and she is curled up on a discarded top on the floor fast asleep - bless. DD is getting ready for bed and trying to justify a £20+ pair of fishnet tights for the dancing competitions in 2 weeks time
she says she doesnt want them but has just been talking about them for the last quarter of an hour
Got to go and tuck her in now - good night all:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Sat here posting but DPs snorings starting to bug me, he fell fast asleep once he got in and had his dinner, is a RC car racing thing worth only having a couple of hours sleep and being exhausted, well to him it is obviously.
Going to sort DSs packed lunch out etc then kick him up to bed, was going to get a bath but I forgot to put the water heater on, DOH! So will have to just have a shower instead. One day I might be more organised...........
