    Morning everyone!
First time posting in this thread for me - hope everyone has a productive day.
Off to the farm shop later (hopefully a money saving exercise!) then off to Sainsbury's to do a weekly shop - amazing how my shopping bills have fallen since I've been a member here! :D
Then just catching up on ironing etc and might even get around to making some cards - I've got all the stuff to make them but always seem to run out of time!
    Don't work too hard everyone!

Well the sun is out - I hope it lasts ;)

Roast beef today, from some leftover in the freezer, so just need to peel and chop the veg, and make the batter for yorkies.

DH went round the IL's yesterday to watch Chelsea win. I was watching at home and when Drogba scored, I got told off by DD for "acting like daddy" :rotfl: ie jumping around and making lots of noise :o

Lots of washing and ironing to do, as well as cleaning the swamp pit I call a bathroom

    Have a great day everyone
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Hiya everyone,

Just waiting for DH to come back with the milk for our brekky. Looks a nice day out there today. Plans for today is to pack & go for a bit of a wander after lunch. Tea was lovely last night, and for dessert got baileys with orkney toffee cheesecake. :D Mmmmm.

Welcome to Sagaris & Herbaholic

GR I've made lettuce soup and it tastes nice. Made it last year as we hope to grow lettuces when we get home. Thought it a good one to try as lettuces come on all at once and it's not like you can freeze them.

Well hope you all have a great Sunday. (((((hugs))))) to those that need them. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Well we havent any plans for today so will probably be out in the [STRIKE]jungle[/STRIKE] garden for as much of it as possible :o Sounds like a few of you are having pork today but we are having quorn mince with tomato soup - got a reduced free range chicken at tescos yesterday but I froze it so that I can try to keep to my plans for the week. Had a very naughty take away last night though  not a good start.
I made a start on the veggie patch yesterday - I planted it up a while ago but then didnt do too much more except water it. So it is now covered in netting to keep the nasties out and I have weeded it too. Planted out some seeds for rocket in a tub too.
DD is at dancing this afternoon as usual. 2 weeks tonight since I packed in smoking - seems to be getting difficult at the moment though :o

Have a great day everybody and ((((HUGS)))) to those who need them

Aime - hope your DD is ok today xx

To all with poorly children/OHs etc - hope you all feel better too xxx

Well, im up, but thatys about it. I have put my bedding in the wash, and im going to leave mum to do most of the cooking today (she likes her beef well done, i like it pink, so as she bought it, i think its her call!!!)
I left yesterdays washing on the line overnight, but its all ok, looking like a lovely day here, so will pick it in soon, so i can get the rest out.
Mums chap is laying my lino down in my downstairs loo, been needing that done for months, so will be really pleased when its finally done.
Not much else happening here, will get dressed in a mo, but im planing on having a lovely bath and hair wash later when everyone has gone home.

Right, off to get dressed and help mum in the kitchen - hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good Morning all

Woke up with a stinking headache. Its easing now with the aid of 2 neurofen plus a huge coffee, some OJ & my breakfast. No alcohol involved either so I hate waking with a headache for no reason.

DW emptied. WM on. Today need to clean the bathroom. Remake my bed. Have a general swish & swipe everywhere.

    B: cereal/crumpets

    L: sarnies/crackers/fruit/salad

D: ratatoulle for me & kids have tuna pasta

Also need to bake some cakes for next week lunch boxes. Prob so choc fairy cakes.

    And the ironing needs doing.

Will hopefully sit down tonight & watch the tv & do some x-stitch. My friend in work gave me a x-stitch set so I can relax. That is so lovely of her. (I see a psychiatrist for my 'head' problems! :o )

Hope everyone is well today & has a good day

    love Lisa x

    Lovely sunny morning here...

Sorry I've not posted - been really busy recently with work and catching up on my courses. I've tried to look in every day to keep up with what everyone is doing.

In the midst of Scottish Higher hell at the moment. After tomorrow we're more than half way through. I do hope DD1 does well. DD2 has been behaving well past few weeks (think her run in with the local constabulary gave her the much needed fright, Groatie Queen!). Odd to think I really was at the end of the tether just a few weeks ago and life is such a pleasure again.

Looking forward to next Saturday when I'm graduating with my OU degree - still can't think what to wear. OH is treating me and the girls to lovely tapas afterwards. We don't often do things as a family these days so that will be nice.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Hugs to all who need them

    Morning all!!

Busy, busy day ahead here lol

Invited my Mum and Step-Dad over for a meal... have been going on and on about the virtues of home cooked food for weeks now  , so am making them lamb chops and roast veg.. am 'poshing' up the chops with a Delia recipe... serving with alcoholic smoothies (obviously not for DS, will make up a non alcoholic batch for him!) using new smoothie maker :j

This week has been an odd week - Grandad still in hospital (after his operation) and we heard last week that he has developed MRSA.. hence me not posting for a while... was touch and go for a few days but am happy to report that he is responding well to the antibiotics they have put him on and seems to be very upbeat this week :T

Right, am off to try and make smoothies for the first time (non-alcoholic - just to test, don't want them to be a disaster later!!). Also probably going to make some bread... only got breadmaker this week and loaves seem to last about 5 mins in this house

Hugs to all who need them, have a great day all, will post back later to let you know how my first attempt at a Delia recipe goes!

    Morning Guys!

Had another bad night but feeling a little better now.

All washing is up to date, well not enough for a load anyway, DW is just about to go on and toilet and kitchen has been cleaned. Swept through and the mat needs hoovering. DD is cleaning the car:eek:     ...for money of course:rolleyes: and OH has just ironed about 15 items:D

Have invited nephew and his wife for dinner as they sound ever so down ATM and as there not close to any other family member, thought if they wanted to chat they can do. We have an excellent relationship with them and they have confided before. Hopefully its nothing serious but am happy to listen. So we need to get a big chicken fresh from somewhere as I only had small ones in and some nice sausages.

    Breakfast: Egg on Toast
Lunch: Roasted Veg (needs using and will have oven on for chicken) and rice
Dinner:Chicken, Sausage in bacon, stuffing, parsnips, roasties, HM yorkies, cabbage, carrots and cauliflower

Sounds a big dinner but nephew is 6 foot 2 and eats like a horse! Any leftovers will do us for lunch tomorrow. Am making a fruit flan for pudding with whipping cream:D or there is a toffee cheesecake;)

Essay is nearly completed, just need to make some pointers regarding the MMR jab (pros and cons). Only have about 300 words left, so that will be interesting:p

Have been invited to a games night next Sunday...I think its Poker, Mafia and another game:confused: ....as long as its not wife swapping I should be OK:rotfl:

Anyway, I had better go. Hugs to all.

    PP
    xx
