Third Time Lucky
Brilliant story - quite made me late for an appointment I have!
Very well deserved win and I'm positive I'm not the only person to have benefited from your unfortunately protracted experience with Monarch.
So a round of applause and a large one for the mighty Lord Vauban!

I hope you will stick around the forums helping out everybody with you wise intellect, and we hope to see more victories like this on behalf of the individual against the big boys. Thomas Cook Claim - Settled Monarch Claim - Settled0 -
Congratulations Vauban,
Delighted to hear of your overwhelmingly successful result.
Before I took up my own claim, which I am fighting myself, I discussed, informally, whether or not to do so, with a solicitor who is a friend of my son. His advice was to take them on as in his opinion, generally, people in charge of airlines/holiday operators are nothing more than chancers who behave like absolute animals and couldn't run a sweet shop.
Monarch's treatment of you and your family and your justified claim would seem to endorse that opinion.
Hope you have enough small change to get yourself an even nicer hat.
Regards

26. Over the next couple of days, Monarch sent me a couple of documents. One was the notorious “event print out” with the detailed chronology of what happened. The second was irrelevant and added nothing. But that was it. There was nothing on the state of the windscreen or on what efforts they had made to find an alternative plane. Lots of the questions therefore remained hanging. And there was no final submission. So over Christmas I wrote my response, which you can find here:0 -

Absolutely........and a fantastic breakdown of your path that you trod so well.
Enjoy what you deserve and might I add, keep up the good work.....yours would be hard boots to fill.
:TSuccessfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.
Current known score:-
Dr Watson 35 - 0 Ryanair / Ince and Co
Go to post 622 on the Ryanair thread to read how to sue them safely.0 -
..Anyhow, it is nice to earn my victory spurs and join the MSE Pantheon of those who’ve had the courage to face down airlines' disgraceful tactics and work to secure what is owed to them in law. ...
Well done and welcome.
Yes, truly disgraceful tactics.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Hi I'm new to the site but wonder if anyone could give me some advice. In September 2012 myself and 4 members of my family were delayed by 7 hours on a monarch flight from Palma to Manchester. After filling in a claim form and sending the relevant documentation to monarch our request for compensation was turned down citing extraordinary circumstances but I feel it was a maintenance issue. I then contacted the CAA who told me they could'n't help and I would have to contact the relevant body in Spain. Awkward when you don't speak the language and unable to access the online claim form. Any ideas where to go from here0

YES - correct thread ie Monarch one but PLEASE read through it before you post again.0 -
I'm very touched by all your kind words - and a little emotional. But that is because of all the New Zealand fizzy I have imbibed in celebration (champers is SO last season, darling!).
Would it be wrong to propose a toast to Ms. Mulay, for her cardinal role in my success today? God bless 'er!0 -

I've just been watching the 9 'o' clock news and Monarch have gone into administration to avoid paying out on compensation claims.......citing exceptional circumstances!
Well done Vauban.0
