Flight delay of 33 hours from Gatwick to Fuerteventura july 2007. First contacted tc in oct 2012 and fobbed off . CAA no use at all. Had quite a lengthy conversation with them re their effectiveness! Mcol submitted 13/6 , judgement by default 16/7 and cheque received today. Thanks to all x

This just shows you have to persue the airlines vigorously if you want success, even to the point of starting legal action if necessary. assuming your case holds water they are now beginning to see sense and offer compensation.

    40 it is!

Won't disturb you for too long today as I hear you are spending the day with flour, eggs and sugar in the kitchens at Chateau Vauban...!!

It is true that I suggested a cake was in order (though I was careful not to commit to baking it - which will be a relief for all concerned). But given the hot weather, I wondered whether a summery pudding might not be more appropriate?

I therefore propose a raspberry fool: for if the airlines continue trying to fool people over their legal rights, we shall continue to blow our raspberries in their general direction!

Brilliant Vauban. I've not laughed so much since I left court on Friday!
