I switched with them just after Christmas. So far it's been appalling. I got a confirmation e-mail and that's all. I created an account online but it doesn't list any activity. I set the direct debit and they've been taking money but no bills and no communication whatsoever. And their phone line crackles so badly you can't make out the automated voice. I had to open a webchat to the complaints team in order to speak to anyone. I don't understand how people are having positive experiences with them when all my experiences over the past 3 months would suggest they're a very shoddy outfit indeed.

I've been with Flow for getting on for a year.

Plus points: monthly payments went down from about £110 to £87.50. Although I have been using the wood burner more, so overall probably not so much cheaper than previous supplier (Scottish Power). There phone support, once you get through, is no worse than any of the large suppliers I've dealt with in the past.
Minus points: their admin is terrible on a number of fronts. They somehow forgot to set up a direct debit for electricity and I had to call them to sort out the debit. Twice they sent me emails about direct debits which weren't anything to do with me (another customer name). Their website is primitive to say the least. Their estimated readings seem to be completely idiotic guesses, and the meter readings you provide are often ignored.

They seem to charge a higher than average fixed daily charge but a lower than average charge per kWh so may not be a good deal if your energy usage is low.
For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.

Well I switched in Jan, and they have yet to take a direct debit.

Thankfully I spotted it early and have been putting the money to one side.... looks like I am going to have to call them!
  • I switched a year ago.
Not had any issues, saved me over £40 a month for dual fuel.
Easy to enter meter readings online. Just started new tariff, "Flow Fixed", will check how bills go over summer period, currently in credit.

Have been with this Company for the last year as it was one of the cheapest. Statements do not always reflect your own Meter Readings but they do catch up so not a problem. Halfway through the year they suggested I reduce my DD as was a lot in credit and turned out they were correct as coming to the end of contract I could see it was going to be close to zero credit/debit. Having checked other utilities for best deal for coming year Flow Energy was not one of the best but they emailed me to say they had special tariff for old customers as a loyalty bonus. Although they were not the cheapest the only ones that were were new suppliers so quite happy to renew for a further year. They are contactable and quite easy to send Meter Readings to.
