The website says you can opt for paper statements. A statement every 6 months with an additional charge of £3 per annum to send them. I suppose that is the way the world is going!

Best give them a ring and check them out.

Yeah i will have to call tomorrow. Do you predict any problems for an offline user with Flow?

Did it work out, is it possible to sign up without going online?
  • I joined up with Flow at the end of Jan this year. I find their website for resgistering your account and meter readings etc very basic. There was a glitch with my economy 7 readings initially (done thru their email link) but telephone customer service seems friendly and fairly efficient. I now enter my readings from my account rather than the one-off page they email you monthly.
As someone mentioned above, if you opt for paper bills they are only every 6 months. I wasnt told that over the phone, nor that I would have to pay for them. I do think a 6monthly bill is not satisfactory so will have to change back to online billing.
They apparently assess your DD payments every 6 months. With EDF and EON there is a better system for assessing and changing your DDs.
I would advise anyone joining flow to keep an eye on their initial readings as they do seem to suffer glitches. And I would recommend phoning them if there are any problems. I've never had to wait very long personally.
  • I've been with Flow about 6 months now. My overall feeling is that although I havent had any major problems the website is very amateurish and I cannot access my monthly statements, which seems to be an ongoing problem. I have been with EDF and EON previously and their online system is much more user friendly and professional. It takes a week to get a reply to emails, though phone customer service is generally quick and painless (and based in the uk so no difficult foreign accents).
  • Hello,

Just switched rom E.ON to Flow and it reduced my spend by £14 per month, which is very welcome at the moment. Let's see how it stands up.

Hee hee, I've just switched from Flow to E.ON. After three years of being very happy with Flow when my current fix ends on 30 October, they will no longer be my cheapest option by a sufficiently large margin to warrant me switching away. I have been with E.ON in the past, and found them to be OK to deal with, albeit a bit quiescent. You need to shout at them a little to get a reaction at all. I suspect I'll be back with Flow again some time in the future.
  • I am with EON and about to switch to Flow. My EON energy plan (v19) is about to end and they want to increase my payments from £86 to £125 a month. Flow are quoting £100. After reading some very poor reviews on Scottish Power and Co-Op who were similar to Flow prices have decided to try Flow.
Will post how I get on.

Hee hee. After several very happy years with Flow, I moved recently to EON, for similar reasons ;). I would be happy to go back to Flow if their prices came competitive again for me.

Actually switched on 21st January, everything went reasonably well, didn't use my meter readings but suspected that was EONS fault. DD taken out on time, easy to give meter readings as required, monthly Statements provided, much easier to read than EONS if not technically minded. Can see how much in credit/debit monthly without opening Statement. All in all a good switch and good prices, fixed for 14 months. If need to talk to prompt answering of phone and pleasant staff.
