Ed Update
Ladies a lovely thing just happened. I was out the front gardening and who should walk past with his sister but Ed. He stopped and chatted and asked for a hug. He obviously has some lasting brain damage but to think of where he was 15 months ago. I just wanted to share such a special moment with you all.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Wendywitch welcome back and do what you like and are able to. Remember doing something is better than nothing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Welcome home Wendywitch. Sorry to hear it's all gone carp; make yourself some do-able lists (like I do;)) and join in some HHSomethings, eh?:o
Dusty many thanks for the Ed update; you just made my afternoon!:T
Lounge and hall have been done - luckily Jessie isn't much of a nose-artist:D - and I've also done the bathroom, which means I'm ahead of myself for tomorrow.:j
Jacket spuds with baked beans for our dins tonight, so that'll be easy; Mr LW has requested Quorn fillets in HM white wine sauce with chips tomorrow - he'll take charge of doing the chips.:D
Brain Training next; then I have some membership paperwork to do. Yes I'm still lumbered with that, but I've told the District Manager I'd like to be able to step down completely by Samhain - that's Hallowe'en to most of you.:o I won't hold my breath - what's the betting I'm still doing it this time next year??:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Welcome back wendywitch, jsut do what and when you can but know that you are welcome to post and come in for support or a rant when you need to. hope things feel better soon.

Dusty I don't know the background to Ed's story, but that sounds like good news.
Thanks Lamewolf. Dog learned to outwit me on the rolled up ham front a couple of years ago, and bearing in mind I've only had her for three years four months it's been interesting getting pills into her ever since. The microwave-melted-white-chocolate-around-a-pill is the latest strategy, but as she's already wised up to me giving her pills in the lumps, she may have already half-sussed this one. She adores OH, and thinks of him as the fount of all goodies, so I'm not sure if her morphed brain will allow her to figure this one out. She's a Collie, so I'm not taking anything for granted. Curiously, her Propalin syrup on ham didn't keep her beds or the carpet dry, but putting it on beef-type slices does.
Hi WendyWitch  Welcome back. Sorry things are a bit carp. Rooting for you.
Fifth load twirling, four pegged out, two beds stripped (only one made so that'll be waiting for me later). Shower room super-sparkly, kitchen and shower room floors washed, half the house Dy$oned, bag of forgotten (now sprouted) potatoes chucked out, box of onions rescued before they all went mouldy, back and front doors washed, front steps swept, kitchen bins emptied, washed, dried and now back in situ and half-full. Two loads of washing up done, DW run and emptied.Better is good enough.0 -
