Morning all. First post of the month. Woo hoo bring it on :D

Right, I filled the car to the brim yesterday at Sainsburys doing the £60 shop and get 10p of a litre of fuel. It saved me nearly £5 :) My £60 shop included lots of cat food and a bottle of vodka for the weekend :) I am taking M (6) to Scarborough for the weekend just me and him and I can't wait! More on that later.

My planned spends this months in addition to my usual direct debits are:-

    £120 - 3 nights b&B in scarborough
    £500 - 1 years car insurance
    £70 - 6 months car tax
    £20 - renew driving licence
    £50 - shoes and sandals for M
    £500 - credit card
£150 - spending money for scarborough (this one is a bit of a guess :\ I will keep you posted - It allows less than £40 per day for eating out etc. I will be booking sealife centre before we go to save money and take it out of this. I am going to keep all my receipts. Hopefully we can picnic at lunch if the weather is nice but need to budget for eating out once a day and entertainment (swimming/fair/2p arcades/farm park) and transport. Should be enough though.)

    I am also allowing:-

£150 food/groceries including cleaning products, alcohol and cat food. This is quite a bit less than usual but we are fairly well stocked up and not here next weekend.
£90 fuel (another guess as not sure what I will use over the weekend)
    £50 half term spending.
£50 other spends (hoping to keep this to a minimum)

There is the possibility of booking another holiday but I have to make my insurance claim for the last one once I have the paperwork back from the GP and will be waiting on this before booking anything. If the weather picks up, I am looking at camping a few days at half term so quite cheap.

I am back at work and hoping to get some more Avon orders in now the weather is better and I am out and about again. Also have some stuff to ebay (as usual). Not been doing very well with it lately though.

Good luck everyone and happy May!!!

    xxx

Morning everyone :) I was expecting some sunshine this morning, what with it being summer and all...

So far today I've learned that drinking coffee whilst driving isn't the best idea when wearing a white shirt - oops! It was my attempt at not spending in the canteen (and also having proper coffee instead of the rubbish weak stuff they sell!).

Just as well it's not as sunny as I hoped - gotta keep that jacket buttoned to hide the coffee stains :)

Have a nice day everyone :)
