motor guy ,the car was sold as fantastic and immaculate. it was not .if it was i would not have had to spend ages telephoning, altering my shift pattens to fit in with the garages timetable, organizing lifts ect .they fixed it ...big deal wow they sold it faulty .

At your price point your car must be 4-8 years old. It would be very naive to think that age of used car is totally 'perfect'.

It had a very slight imbalance in the tyres and the dealer replaced them FOC.

In a perfect world every car sold would be subject to a total strip down and microbalancing of every moving part, including tyres and when pre documented tolerances are exceeded then the car is returned to the manufacturer to be brought back to 'as new' standard with brand new parts.

But its not a perfect world, and if it was like that then you'd be paying £10,000 for your car, to cover every bit of wear and every eventuality.

Trust me, it wouldn't be different. I can spot customers like you a mile off and it's easy enough to convince them to shop elsewhere ;)

When you go to bed at night and you've had another day whereby EVERYONE else seems to be against you and EVERYONE else is wrong, do you not sometimes think that the problem might be YOU?

LOL. Aye, same with me and cars now. I only do half a dozen a month, so 'problem customers' can jog on and buy elsewhere. Lifes too short.
  • Joe i doubt very much that i would ever be a purchaser of exotic timepieces .to me a watch is a watch ,some may swoon and drool over a rolex or hunter however i like mine cheap simple disposable and accurate too god bless quartz.

Ah the saintly motor trader and the ever so grateful hard done by customer and even another saint who detests anyone who is inconvenienced and dares to pop there head up above the ramparts and dares to ask for recompense.
Rest assured the well groomed silken tongued salesperson and there spin doctors who described the car in question as "Immaculate and Fantastic "were reminded of this fact when I took it back and when it was suggested that maybe I had kerbed the vehicle I told the truth that I had not which is in fact true .
Exotic car for £5400 ...it is to me .
Private road yes my company owns a large industrial complex .

It's quite simple. If you start to get a vibration after 3 months, and it is solved by changing tyres, the possibilities are as follows:
    1) A wheel weight has fallen off (they would fit new ones when they fit the new tyres).
    2) You have kerbed the tyre or hit a large pothole, causing damage to a tyre.
    3) You have flat spotted a tyre by skidding.

    Those are the only possibilities.

You got brand new tyres out of them, be happy with that.
