  • Would a garage rolling road or balancing machine be able to get up to 70+mph? (which is around the figure that the problem manifested at).

If it was a balance/matching problem between the 2 affected tyres, simply taking them off one at a time and putting them on the balancing machine may not have shown a problem which could be why it took so long to get sorted.
  • A clue about what portly ?

why should I pay for your dead time?
Because you're incapable of fixing your own watch (or car in this case) so you need my (or the garage's) skills. I have to do that admin work because the law requires me to keep books and the watches need me to order parts etc.

If you don't want to contribute to the time I spend on it then learn to do your own repairs - trust me, it's no skin off my (or the garage's) nose ;)
everyone knows watches and rings are the jewellery trades pot of gold

He's also obviously never worked on a watch either, or he'd realise that repairing this sort of thing (one of the simpler ones btw) is no-body's "pot of gold":

I agree tyres are very very delicate things ...however in the thirty four mile I drove the vehicle I did not kerb or damage them ..fact.

You didnt hit one single pot hole or damage to the road in 34 miles??

You cant say that with all honesty. I dont think theres 34 miles of pot hole free roads in the whole of the uk....

The garage fixed your car and lent you one while yours was off the road.

You've now got two brand new tyres that you didnt previously have.

And now you're getting stroppy with us because we dont see it your way?
  • motor guy ,the car was sold as fantastic and immaculate. it was not .if it was i would not have had to spend ages telephoning, altering my shift pattens to fit in with the garages timetable, organizing lifts ect .they fixed it ...big deal wow they sold it faulty .
