Hope you're going to keep it low between now and then and not go on a spree tomorrow. :D

I spent £5 today on a collection for my friend in work and there is a leaving lunch tomorrow so probably another £10 but I didn't foresee either expense. I'm hoping for a free bank holiday weekend in the garden but we'll see!:(

Well thank you ETO for your warm welcome.

I did a fair amount of spending out of my £80 yesterday

Iceland-- stocking up on fish for the freezer and cheese -- near £10

Marks and Spencer- A meal deal for 2 for the weekend ahead inc wine (for when the man in my life comes round) , 2 boxes of Thai Fish cakes (they are scrummy+++), lemon mousses, milk, cereal, bread, tomatoes-- all came to near £30

Tesco Express-- 2 tins of Pedigree Chum £1.56

Meal with a friend at Subway £5

Got myself a taxi home £5 (Did walk into town though)

Gave my daughter £20 for a bus pass, sketch book for art college and a sushi for her lunch.

Counted up the pennies left in my purse and that is £11.31 remaining.

Have plenty in to eat now
me and the dogs!! Daughter gone off with her boyfriend till next Tuesday :-)

    Hi everyone,

This is me so far this week:

Monday - packet of crisps 49p
Tuesday - coffee for colleague, tea and biscuit for self - 3.40
    Wednesday - NSD
    Today - cold drink 1.49

I'm cross with myself for the crisps and the drink - I could have got free water from the cooler.

I think that leaves me with 4.24 for groceries tomorrow
  • ]£13.58 biscuits, a new mug, fudge, and bread

And have spent nothing since! Start my new job on Tuesday and been trying to crib up on the ins and outs of the company.

    Sun - NSD :j
    Mon - NSD :j
Tues - £9.16 groceries, £5.10 drinks with friend.
    Weds - NSD :j
Thurs - £8.46 cereal and bits and bobs for friend visiting, £8 lunch with said friend. so although it was unplanned it was cheap. We weren't charged for drinks.
Fri - £9.23 more groceries

    Total so far

    = £39.95 / £30

I can definitely see where my money goes... Food, food, food.
But as it was the last week of the month and incorporated payday i should have expected it as i haven't done a big shop yet. Thankfully havent required petrol this week.

I bought petrol yesterday - only £20.01 (!) because I want to stay in budget. I resisted the temptation to do the post-pay day fill up :)

Also got some flowers to take to the cemetery - would've been my granny's 97th birthday. She passed away a long time ago but I always think it's nice to remember on birthdays.

Oh, and then some cream cakes to take to my friend's - so total spend yesterday of £22.94

    £76.80 / £145

I'm supposed to be out with work friends tonight but the weather's kind of putting me off. I've been off work all week and can't decide whether to go or not....most unlike me, I think the money-saving is having an impact on my desire to socialise! Also, still haven't had the locks changed so that's still in the budget for the week - hope the guy comes tonight..

    - Friday: Darn, yet more lunch -- it's shockingly easy to slip into my old bad habits! I see I really have to be strict with myself until I am set in my habits and it really is a treat. Another £4.69 gone.

    - Holiday spending. Went in to pharmacy to buy some headache tablets and came out with sunscreen, allergy tabs and bits and bobs £20.32. I do have a holiday budget and could transfer money out of that account into my current account, but that's not being honest about the money I'm spending.

Van hire: I got it for £32.99 a day over three days. :D So that's £98.96/£150. It's on my credit card (made more sense from an ease of booking perspective). As I'll be paying it off in full in June, I'm going to review my budget and so now my budget is £200. Recalculating...
LBM: June 2023. Amount owed: ~£10,000I've gone debt free before, I can do it again!
