Both the current and previous ESA50s clearly state that the claimant should include any evidence they have with the form when it is returned to ATOS.

Bigboybrother is correct Elli. They DO ask you to send in anything you have. I think that you may be thinking of, is that they say 'do not ask your doctor to specifically write something, like a report for you, on your health,' because they may charge you. But if you have a copy of a report that your specialist has written (and they normally write a report of your assessments and send the doctor - and you - a copy,) they you can send that in, or a copy of anything else that backs up your claim.

yes you might be right..I'll bear this in mind in future thanks

Where does it say that? The ESA50 I filled in earlier this year, on review, clearly said to send in as much evidence as you can.

In fact the letter that came a week or so before the ESA50 made many references to the fact that if you had evidence you should send it in.

In my case I believed that my ESA50 and copy of my repeat prescription told the whole story without the need to get someone to confirm anything. This turned out to be a correct assumption.

Of course it is about your illness/condition fitting the descriptors. Mine does quite clearly in many instances. If I was not as sick as I am, then they wouldn't have fitted the descriptors. So obviously it is down to the level of sickness that matters.
Oh you are sick, no doubt about that. I just wonder why you changed from the stance of refusing all evidence to suddenly insisting on supplying any and all evidence? In fact no don't answer that, think I can work that out.

I love the fact that despite the fact he is continuing to post on this thread, Andy has completely glossed over his super power of making himself age quicker.

I thought that too, it wasn't too long ago he was telling everyone it was ATOS' job to hunt down the evidence and he shouldn't need to do it :rotfl:

I see he's been PPRd again -- at last. Of course, he'll be back, if he's not already here.

Most people who don't have an assessment seem to get put into the support group. I would find it odd if someone was put into the WRAG without an assessment. How can someone be regarded as suitable for work if they haven't been assessed?
I didn't have an assessment and was put in the WRAG. Appealed and was put in Support Group. I thought how can they say I'm fit without even seeing me.

Yeah, I reported him due to the raft of BS posts he'd made. Looks like someone listened. Still, it's no victory because he will return, it's his hobby.

Thanks for reporting him. I should have too. At least it buys us -- and more importantly, people taken in by him -- a few Andy-free days.
