  • Alternatively keep your eyes open for a cheap Win8 upgrade for your existing operating system.

If you're running anything older than Win7, it makes very good sense to upgrade for (say) £25 as effectively you'll get a new PC which runs fast - and with the Win7 look option soon to be available, it'll be user friendly.

I already upgraded 2 XP Pros to Win8 and was extremely happy with the improvement in performance.

But I also have a couple of Vista PCs that would significantly benefit from Win8 upgrading as well.

Just didn't want to pay more than £20-25 to do it.

Any idea what the minimum amount of RAM is to take advantage of the Win8 speed please.?

Quick post before I go make dinner.
Wrexham has plenty of Persil lemon washing up liquid (but I'm banned from buying anymore WUL :D)
No 9p Handwash or antibacterial handwash.

Also Dolmio 500g sauces and aunt bessies make good comparisons for S vs A. Got a £9 brand match from a £9.38 shop, via a conditional spend and a previous brand match. :D

    Afternoon!

So many pages of chat since last night! Hugs to those that need them. I just thought you'd all like to know that the fairy glitch is alive and well in my local Mr T's. Got 5 bottles but was very tempted to clear the shelf!

I haven't decided whether that's a bum holey thing to do or not....

What is the fairy glitch? That it is scanning at 50p?

2GB - RAM has been v cheap recently, Artha have you done RAM memory upgrades yourself before?

For anyone who hasn't: you need to check what RAM memory your computer has and maybe upgrade, 4GB is better than 2GB etc:

eg Use Belarc advisor - download it free of charge then run it, it tells you all about your computer and is 100% safe

Then run the Crucial scanner to see what memory CAN be fitted to you computer - crucial.co.uk (free).

Then research online for a few mins to see where you can buy the right memory, cheaply.

Then fit it: turn OFF your computer, undo 2 screws on the back of your PC (bit different for laptops) and pop it in, usually very obvious, you might need to (say) remove 2x1GB RAM then install 2x2GB RAM in 2 slots, it takes a couple of minutes and honestly is usuallyfairly easy.

The other thing I should mention as I did it myself x2 is that if your PC is 64 bit ready but running 32 bit Windows OS, you can turn it into a 64 bit PC with the upgrade.

But you have to be canny.

You download the Win8 upgrade onto a USB stick on a PC running 64 bit OS Windows.

Then using that stick, upgrade the 32 bit PC to Win 8.

Hey presto - you now have a 64 bit Win 8 OS :D

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker
When I had a look at the washing up liquid it was very confusing in store, different sizes, flavours and prices.

But I had the last 4 digits written down of the bardcode so I was fairly confident. Needless to say it went through the till at £1.25 so it will have to go back tommorow - it would have gone straight back but I had OH with me :D

So please can someone post a photo up and the barcode again for the numerically challenged :D

I was supposed to be in Tesco, right...?

If I do find the right one can I use it as a filler on a tosco v sada shop or will it compare and ruin a TPP ?
