A couple of years back I had my debit card stopped, I was out Christmas shopping and mid- spree it just stopped working and kept being rejected. I used another card and made a mental note to sort it out when I got home.

When I did get home there was an answer phone message from Natwest fraud, I thought oh no:eek: that's got to be something to do with why my card wouldn't work. So I called them and they told me that there had been some suspicious activity using my debit card, they thought there was a possibility that someone had been on a spending spree in an apple store with either my card or a clone of it.................it was me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'd gone in and bought a mac book and 2 iPods for kids Christmas presents. :rotfl::rotfl:

It is really good that they're on to these things so quickly though. Id rather I was inconvenienced slightly than some crook was off trying to clear my bank account out:eek:

Same thing happened to me with my Tesco Credit Card. DW had been using her card (on the same account) in Leeds at a few places. They must think that I don't get out much:rotfl::rotfl:

I was confused because it's not the first time Ive spent a large amount on my debit card in one go. When buying large appliances or funiture etc. The lady on the phone said that high value purchases at certain retailers ( such as apple ) are flagged up because they are the one's targeted most often with stolen and cloned cards.

Hiya guys - we've had showers today here too, but still had washing out on the line and airing it out inside now

Quiet, relaxing day today. We just popped to Tosco for some 50p Fairy, 9p hand wash, 10p podpronto but only had the tea ones left so only got a few of those, maggi packets, hoops and crosses, and ....... 2 nice 'free with DTD' pork crackling joints so it was worth the trip :j :j

We are off to Scotland tomorrow to visit MSE'er grass roots near Glasgow and staying overnight with her, then driving across to Kinross to visit our friend beanielou before driving back down the Northumberland coast in the afternoon. Andy is doing the driving in my car as my leg, though loads better, is not up to driving yet

I have been thinking of tinyshoes and hoping all went ok for her and her family today :A

Nannylala - so sorry to here the latest news on your dear brother-in-law - hope something can be done to enable him have a near normal life again - he and your family are in my prayers hun

I'm doing a Sainburys shop with my Ma tomorrow. Any items off the top of your heads that will give us a nice brand match difference with the other supermarkets?

    Is there anything you need?

Are you trying to use up a conditional spend?

Nope- it's just a normal weekly shop so anything and everything really. Just wondered if there were any especially good comparable items I could be on the lookout for?

We'll definitely go over the total we need to use our £7 voucher :o:D
