Correct- this is the fairy glitch Flo. Only in Tesco express.

Definitely on the normal (green) 433ml. Might try the lemon one tomorrow.

  • 64 bit Windows OS means that if you have 4GB of RAM, the computer can use close to 4GB of it, as opposed to being limited to 3GB with the 32 bit OS.

Just tried one of the DO pizzas. Can't say I was terribly impressed although Bratling was quite happy. So free pizza for him then :)

Rather too salty and crispy for me :(

Tosco introducing co-buying for wine. The more people who buy the cheaper the price.

I'll wait for someone to spot an opportunity. details here.

    Did y'all see this one?

SOFTWARE giant Microsoft is to row back on its radical new Windows 8 operating system after a backlash from users, it was revealed yesterday.

The firm overhauled its market-leading product six months ago in a bid to keep pace with the rise of tablets.
The familiar desktop launch screen — including the “start” button used since 1995 — was ditched and in came “live tiles”.
But many users found the changes confusing and harder to use.
Microsoft played down the backlash but admitted users had found it difficult to adapt.
Head of marketing Tami Reller said “key aspects” of the software will be changed in a forthcoming upgrade.
A return to a more familiar PC interface — including the start button — is expected.
One analyst hailed it as the biggest U-turn since Coca Cola’s “New Coke” 30 years ago, when it dropped its re-jigged formula in response to a backlash less than three months after its launch.

That's the best news I've heard in ages

I was running Pokki until I saw you post about Classic Shell and you have been a godsend. My last laptop (Dell Inspiron) died from a non- recoverable hard disk fault aged just 2 years :( The hard disk is in RAW format so I lost everything that I hadn't backed up to an external disk. Thankfully the Argos giftcard glitch happened a couple of days later so I got 25% off a new HP Envy that was already reduced on the Debenhams website but I was stuck with Win8. I have no idea what possessed the MS geeks to build that OS as it makes no sense to me on a laptop (and barely any more sense on a tablet).

As an aside, do we have any sparks in here that I could run a query past? The thread I posted in the DIY section is here if anyone can help pretty please.

    Wombling trick.

Parcel arrives, DS2 has won a prize in the McDonalds monopoly game. So much for healthy eating habits, first year at uni and he is feasting.

Turns out he is not eating there that often, but wombling the monopoly tickets.

Only won a small prize, that he instructs me to Ebay (thinking ahead to get delivery to home not uni), I'm impressed.

Now that does look interesting. Theres got to be opportunities to be had with that referral system. Be interesting to see what the potential end prices are like as well
