I'd have bought such a car (my mate's bought one). Probably need to watch this vid.

Seriously thought of buying a gas car recently to cope with the driving between London-Scotland plus my work commute down here. Had a look at the bank balance and reality gave me a stern talking -to.:(

Thanks claire that makes me feel easier. Think it is going to be a blessing I know you.

Have gone with death cert hence accounts frozen, and have to go back with grant of probate when I get it, probate get the original will I believe and send me a "sealed" copy. I have her bungalow to sell but was hoping to access the bit in her account before then. :o

I wonder what I do with the cheque at the moment.
Im not an expert and could be wrong, but I don't see a reason why you can't bank the cheque? It's in your name....should be if your are sole beneficiary

aren't cheques becoming so unusual so quickly ....it's a rare thing to see a cheque these days

Not exactly in my name, made out to EXORS of "my mum's name". Then C/O me at my address. Just her lifeline refund not a huge amount. :o Think they may have been a bit quick off the mark, unusual for the council. :rotfl:
