You should always check statements, whether you use the card or not.

Change of forum name is appropriate in this instance.

    Hardly hidden is it?

You took out the subscriptions you knew what you were signing up for you let them take the payments for 4 years and you did nothing to stop them.

They did nothing illegal they were doing exactly what you had contracted them to do when you signed up.

Its your own stupidity for not sorting it out!!!

    TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT!!!

My wife signed on for one review and forgot to cancel it. And then life's been a manic. I personally was holding down a full time job and a retained firefighter in most of my spare time attending about 250 call outs a year. My wife was bringing up children and training to be a Midwife. But I'll begrudgingly accept stupidity, although some people might say busy.

Lots of people have busy lives, but they still manage to find time each month to check their statements and do their finances.

I work a full time job, do other freelance stuff and spend family time, but still manage to check all of my bank accounts and credit cards online at least every other day.

We all have busy lives and I work for the a very large health organisation you all use and am very busy dealing with peoples lives and saving them myself. However I still diligently keep an eye on my finances and what I'm paying for!!

IF I had done the same as you have then yes it would be my own stupid fault for not sorting it myself, I wouldn't be blaming Which for something I had neglected to cancel because I'm not using it. Being busy isn't really an excuse for blaming an organisation for something that isn't there fault!!!

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

But it's not for nothing is it ? You would have had access to all the facilities that Which offer during the time you were a member. If you chose not to use them, it's hardly their fault is it ?

I understand your membership would have included legal advice should you have needed it. I would imagine anyone using that service just once would recoup over 3 years membership in one go. Pretty good value for money really.

Not one magazine. WHICH are just happy to silently sit back and take people money!

    You signed up though.

Most contributors to a budgeting forum will have little sympathy for a "busy for 4 years" arguement. As others have said, you had access to the facilities you'd paid for, you just didn't use them.

Sorry, but begrudgingly or not, accept it; learn; move on.
