I'm fine, thank you. So HAVE you made them or are you hoping to learn.
Just been reading about your DDs, good luck:rotfl:
Hoping to learn
So any advice on the thread? She has been difficult lately and I know it's her age but strop strop, stamp upstairs, slam door, moan loud enough for me to hear, argue with DD about how unfair it is!

Its her age, I guess you explain that when her sister was her age, she could only do what DD2 can do?
And that when she is DD1s age, she can do what DD1 can do?
And if you allowed DD2 to do what DD1 does, then you would be treating them differently as DD1 wasn't allowed to do XYZ?0 -
Afternoon all,
I'm going to a friends for 'tea' tomorrow and have said I will take a Garlic Bread with me. Thing is, I won't have time to make it tomorrow.
How can I make it tonight so its fresh for tomorrow? I do have some dough in the freezer but am dubious about leaving it to defrost all day whilst I'm at work...
Any tips greatfully received (I need to do some fresh dough to make bread cakes for dh tonight)
Thanks

Make up some dough, make a baguette, part bake it, part slice, then add garlic butter and wrap in foil? To be completely baked tomorrow? Have NO idea if that would work, but its probably how I'd do it, especially if had to make dough anyway0

I would pop to M&S and get one of their posh ones or the garlic dough balls.
Sorry

What about defrosting the dough in the fridge then it will stay chilled all day and keep fresh until you can make up the garlic bread later?

Bit late now I guess! But the best homemade GB or GB with cheese we make like this and is the same or IMO better than the Tesco finest stuff!
Get a Ciabatta loaf from Lidl. They are 69 p at last look and will make enough for 4 decent side portions.
Slice lengthways. Crush up a couple of cloves of garlic and mix with softened butter and spread.
The loaf needs cooking before eating. 1 Half is enough for 2 people so just make up extra pop the other half back in the bag and seal with a bit of sellotape and it will last a good few days in the fridge for GB at will!!0 -
May be a dumb question
If I just one of those oven baked baguettes and mixed garlic paste with butter or marg, would it make garlic bread? Or would it just go gross??Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0
