Hi all,
I've found out about https://www.lingscars.com website just a few days ago from my topic https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4561193
the website doesn't look professional at all but a few people said that they used it and they are happy.
Can anyone who actually purchased a car from https://www.lingscars.com reply in this topic to let everyone know that the website can be trusted because there are some really good deals on there, I would defo get a car from there myself if the website can be trusted
Thanks a lot

That's the OP's thread. The one they have linked to!What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -
Unless things have changed, you don't purchase from Ling, you lease.
I've been using her for 5 years now, the website can be trusted.0 -

sorry, my mistake, I meant lease0 -
+1 it's a legitimate business. The site is deliberately ridiculous and is entirely by design0

I've been a very happy Ling lease customer for over 2 years now. The process was very easy, the communication was first rate and yes, the website is entirely on purpose and has even won awards.
Two of my colleagues are now on their 2nd cars from Ling.
I wish more companies were that easy to deal with and as communicative, even if her website does give you migraine!!0 -
I sent the MIL to Ling she was very pleased. Lease expired last month and no issues.0

Had a free lunch off her a few years back (not sure if she's still doing those?)
Absolutely genuine, deliberately OTT on the site, and been around for at least 8 - 10 years that I know of. Also, one of the few applicants to Dragons Den to actually turn down their offers.
The woman's insane, but in an entirely sane (and probably intentional) way.0 -
Seen in the new posts lists, and without noticing which forum it was in, I assumed this thread was all about some cosmetic plastic surgery outfit called Ling Scars.
Some businesses have an unfortunate choice of domain name. :eek:Businesses using 084, 087 or 09 numbers will soon need to display details of the inbuilt Service Charge under Ofcom's "unbundled tariffs" plans.
Businesses using 084, 087 or 09 numbers for customer service, complaints, renewals, etc, will need to swap to an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number before the Consumer Rights Directive comes into effect June 2014.0 -
She didn't really need the money on Dragon's Den anyway, she just went on just for the TV exposure. Anyway, she seems a good businesswoman, and making the ASA looks like fools as they are having a go at her for putting on a Delorean on her website when someone complained they couldn't actualy lease one and it was a joke.
Anyway, initially thought her whole website was a joke! But then she posted on a Mercedes forum introducing herself, which prompted me to find out more about her and her business.
I have now ordered a car from her and awaiting delivery. Easy communication process, and you are told what to do step by step, uploading and downloading the necessary documents. They prefer using their own communication system called Lingo, and to Lingon you have to enter your login (e-mail address) and password. They have a telephone number also.
It's the first time I leased a car (previously I bought 2nd hand cars outright using a bank loan), and the process makes it easy, with a clear pricing structure, which gave me the confidence to go ahead and order from her.0
