I'm 33 and have probably around 25k that I owe to various companies/banks etc. At least you are dealing with yours! I've still got my head stuck in the sand and because my debt spans a 10 year period, I'm embarrassed to say that with some of the smaller debts, I don't actually know who I owe money to. I've moved around a lot and although I'm currently on the electoral roll, it takes a while for things to catch up I suppose. Two things I do know though is that 1. They will always catch up with you, and 2. Being in debt is not a criminal offence so take heart from that. I am paying some of my debts off on a monthly basis - for example I owe HSBC over 10k and I pay them £10 per month because at present that is all I can afford. So take heart from that also - Good Luck!0

I'm £38.000 (2 loans and lots of cards) in debt. I'm still able to pay all the payments for now. (just) and am Snowballing my payments, throwing all I can at them, and trying to be very money savvy. They are coming down SLOWLY, but hey! down is better than UP right? Light bulb moment - Jan 20070 -

I'm 28 and currently owe £8K plus student loan which I'm not paying back.
At worst debt stood at 15K

hi, i am 34 and dh is 38 debts in signature - its under 15k now + mortgage and student loan :eek:
it took me ages to add a signature and i still feel anxious people will figure out who i am!!!! but no one has yet!! :rolleyes:0 -
