What does you employment contract say about your place of work?

Do you claim any mileage to travel to any sites?

To avoid confusion, just add Class 1 cover. I've needed it for the last six years and it literally costs nothing more than SDP&C used to. In fact the first year I had to add it mid term, my premium adjustment was £0 - I'd expected an admin fee, but didn't even get charged that.

No, you're wrong, plain and simple.

I am not wrong to state that the wording is ambiguous, because it clearly is ambiguous.

I might be wrong to think sdp&c does not cover the scenario outlined, but that would be despite the wording rather than because of it.

ie the situation might be how you state it to be, but the phrase "commute to a single permanent place of work" is not in itself beyond interpretation
"It's 1 address, 1 postcode, 1 building. If you go anywhere else to work, whether normal or not, you need class 1 business use."

no its commuting to 1 address, 1 postcode etc. commuting can be reagarded as something you do each day to get to work. so commuting to one address does not specifically rule out working at different locations each day of the week
Why are you finding this so hard to comprehend?

i think its because i can see that the english language is imperfect and ambiguous without further clarification

not sure havent got it with me but i think it says i may be asked to be based at different locations depending on needs of business
Do you claim any mileage to travel to any sites?

of course not- i just commute to work, stay there all day then go home

    on confused website

    class 1 business
This will cover the vehicle in connection with your job, such as driving to different sites away from your place of work

if sdp&c is not applicable because of the wording then neither is this.

the phrase "driving to different sites away from your place of work" cannot in all honesty apply to my situation because when i am at my place of work i do not have to drive to any site away from it

Your problem is that your argument won't wash if push comes to shove.

Just get the cover everyone has advised you to, or get them to confirm in writing they are covering you for multiple locations under "commuting"

The risk is not worth the perceived reward you see in all this!

well no because they are the insurance company and they tend to say something means what they say it means even if it doesnt.

with regards to not making any difference when i make the adjustment on meerkat it adds £40 i think. i go from axa offering a price of 350 to them not even appearing in the list under 1000 after the adjustment

"Just get the cover everyone has advised you to, "

probably. but its just annoying because when i read business class 1 i cant honestly admit that it matches my situation, and ive heard insurance companies demand honesty

its not about reward just that as written sdp&c matches my situation better than business class 1
