Recommendations for a product to tackle a dry, flaky scalp?

Im so glad someone has asked about this, although mine isnt too bad, I too suffer from an itchy scalp and dandruff and the usual (H&S, own brands of this) just haven't worked. I also tried ginger shampoo from body shop and alas, that hasn't worked either. My hair tends to go greasy really quickly so would all of the ones mentioned above be ok? Or would they just make my hair even greasier?0

Also recommended by meI used to work for LUSH a very long time ago, and this stuff is basically solidified, travel-friendly T-Gel!
I use voice dictation software to create many of my posts. I correct obvious errors if I spot them, but I aim to post quickly to keep the conversation moving. Please therefore disregard odd spelling/grammar in my posts if you see it. Thank you!0 -

Unfortunately i think it's trial and error with these things sometimes.I think if uou go down the medicated route it's possibly one cap fits all as far as the shampoo is concerned.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 SEP £25.77/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Hm, never knew there was a two version. I've noticed that the one over counter is not as strong. Mind you, didn't use prescription one for a while so didn't think much of it.0

Years of a flaky scalp came to an end when I read a thread here that recommended aveda shampure. Although not cheap, a 1l bottle lasts me over a year (I have short hair) and never a flake or an itch since. I'm sure Head & Shoulders causes more problems than it cures! I wouldn't change my shampoo now.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0

I am going to wait and see what the doctor says now, as not sure if it has been caused by a reaction to Lyclear. It's only come on since she was treated for nits in the last school holidays, and she's been back at school a week and got them again
. So i don't want to try something then undo it all by having to put more nit lotion on her hair!

Best thing is to see your G.P.
I use
http://www.naturallythinking.com/products/Shampoo-SLS-free-Extra-Mild.html
I used to use prescription shampoo, Nizoral, T-Gel when I was a teenager but all only offered temporary relief.
Now its taken a few months but my scalp is much better.
I started with using Organic Surge, still have their conditioner left but Naturallythinking is cheaper so I switched to their shampoo (and shower gel).0
