    Meal plan

Last night had chicken sweet chill mixed in with cous cous (tom yum stock cube in drawer) with HM spring rolls (chicken and prawn) and salad of carrot/celery and cabbage

    Rest of the week
[STRIKE]Meatballs made with the reduced beef burgers and sun dried tomatoes with rice[/STRIKE]:T and a portion for the freezer :) used tatties in the end as had to take back the over charged rice to prove they'd diddled me (now have rice and money in hand
[STRIKE]Chicken curry[/STRIKE] DD finsihed the rest for lunch yesterday too, a half portion of rice in the freezer too
Chicken and cabbage chunky spring rolls (HM found wrappers in cupboard) with fragrant Thai broth + skinny rice noodles (cupboard)
[STRIKE]Baked tatties and scampi/fish (squid is for fishing not for human consumption,
lol)[/STRIKE] I had a freezer tea, DD had pasta with bacon and veggies (three portions of sauce now in freezer, spare spaghetti in fridge.
Fish cakes with salmon off cuts and instant mash and veggies
Shepherds pie or mince and dumplings
sushi - have all the bits might as well go for it

    Have a good un.

The bacon got used in a pasta sauce with an old sausage (I know how to live you know) :rotfl:dd faniced pasta, I didnt' so had a freezer surf tea.

So far so good. There's tonnes of sauce left (frozen) so we can easily have a bitsa tea if required.

    So far, so good.

My handing spending app tells me I've spent £62.63 on groceries this month so far. And, we're half way. Really must do better. Its been larger things like loo roll, dog food and alike thats pushed it up a bit.

:jPicked up some free japanese crackers at the local wholefood does everythign shop.

Dont need anything today, maybe a NSD?;)

Petrol spends are also at £58.14 some of that is work expensed, so I'll fathom that in a bit. I've a £150 budget for petrol..............maybe its too high, but I am really combining trips etc? So we'll see.

Off to the coal face - have a good un.:T

WIll take lunch, will take lunch, will take lunch.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ETA the chap at work has just emailed to say there's whisky under his desk (and to help myself) - a novel freebie :)

(*Work ('second' job) developed a whisky, its not, um, unusual to have such delights as well as flour, beer, biscuits or bread offered for tasting, but I'm loving the whisky option :))

Ahhh free whisky - tough one to argue with that! :rotfl:

Starnac - you get Rich Tea Biscuits?! You're lucky, all I get is....*insert naff item here* - sorry, couldn't resist! :p

Vigilant will be the word on the tattie front - although last year I don't think setting up man-traps would have helped - he'd still have been in there with his spade, the thieving....:D Hurrah for your sage too - if you want more then issue instructions and let me know.., mine is going barmy again after I lost patience with it's teenage sprawling habits last autumn and hacked it back to a short back & sides....

Todays epic lunch concoction was cup a soup and noodles.

I know how to live I do.

Laughing at your comments up there Starnac and be on guard EH! Shovel to the ready.

Today - thus far a NSD

Got paid from teaching which was nice, as I'd submitted a time sheet hardly unexpected...doh! But nice
Fires on but limited wood, have only had it on for a couple hours to get the place warmed and then let it go out, seems to work
First tea (due to starvation) was rice and pasta/meat sauce, but I'm starved so I reckon a second Tea (not very mse) will be forthcoming later.

    Banks and CC's to check
    HC to hang up
    Doglets to walk later
Work bag for teaching to sort out
Veggies for work allotment to put in car for a session after work tomorrow
Wood to chop up in a bit
I may hoover if my report/bid gets really boring (yesterday I did clean the kitchen and all the storage jars and the oven.....lol)

Onwards to this report and all nonsense I can distract myself with inbetween.

£595.00 balance on the lucifer card today

Paid £100 to this account today so its now under £500 :) (a chunk of the teaching wages) who say's flowers don't pay.

And on to the other pesky money monkey.

See what I can pay to it.

Captain card balance £3,570.31 (hmm where do those extra pennies come from?)

Will go and see what I can pay off it. All the DD's are off aside £200 to come out later this week.

    *Ponders*

You cleaned *all* the storage jars?:rotfl:

Totally understand having a second tea - I do that with breakfast, even though its all supposed to be filling, hey ho.

I love that you call Haggis and Peedie the doglets :T

Hope you've got a nice relaxed evening now, Pippi - I'm going to do a bit more on the writing, and then watch an episode of one of my fave SF series :)

Yes we all extra special folks on here :)

All the storage jars even the curtain ones.......................

And they are all clean, refilled and rehomed on the front window as a new curtain, and I rearranged the kitchen stuff etc

Amazing the energy you have when you've something else to do.

Enjoy your evening chaps. Off to reveiw some stuff and get organised for teaching tomorrow.

If the little monkeys (students) try to blunt my secateurs again, there will be what for.

Hey Up Pippi & the Stripey Gang :hello:

Pippi - I have tried to send you a PM, but your mailbox is full.....

Nice to *see* everyone - particularly EH - I was thinking of you the other day, as I got to try some 'falling down water' (you know, that stuff Pippi doesn't like).

Sorry for my absence and missing all the listing fun, but the 'gardening parental' decided on an unexpected jaunt off to view nhs services up close and personal and for something of a sleepover, so things have been a bit manic. However, I can legitimately re-claim my place in the 'grubby knee'ed weeding gang' as I've had to take up the reins for an 'acreage' (vast exaggeration) that way surpasses anything I have had before - even when I had the allotment. Plus part of the 'estate' is an allotment - and you know how 'standards' have to be maintained, particularly when said parental is 'on tut committee'.....sigh. Add in a dose of shingles (for gardening parental - not me) during the early part of "spring" and things have all got a bit out of hand...... Stiff upper lips and soldiering on are all very well under most circumstances, except when it comes to your health! Still, I'd better get and adapt to it, as this has only uncovered potentially serious, long term health issues, so me knees will be grubby for a bit longer yet!

One advantage is that the garden is in a lovely setting, as is the allotment, and gardening being serenaded by skylarks is no bad thing - although a westerly gale blowing across the farmers field with no hedge for defence is quite another matter - eh Pippi?

Anyway, enough with the hijacking already! Great to see everyone and Pippi clear your mailbox will ya! :D
