Hey KC - I'm loving the new blog and you're planting/veggie exploits - well done you!
Glad you're having a lazy day love!
Lots of food yes, I'm a food hoarder! I also got around to visiting my plot at work today and sorted out my space in the work polytunnels.now I've got a pile of things planted indoors and outdoors. Its good to be motivated isn't it. I'll fathom what I've planted in a mo and bore you all. I'm planting lots in a very small set of spaces/containers so I'm hoping that 'square foot' gardening regime works well.
I did also go food shopping until all that lovely grub grows to keep the miles down
Reduced - banana's, milk (49p/ltr), courgettes (90p), asparagus (60p), grapes (£1) and pastry 29p x 2
All the milk and the pastry is now slumbering in the freezer.
Loo Roll (charmin £3 for 9) in the coop
I toddled into Mr T and got a few store cupboard bits (rice, tom puree, couscous, soy mince) checked my receipt for the damage and turns out I've been overcharged for my value rice he charged me 2x basmatic when what we got was (one basmatic 1.29, one long grain 49p), will be takign that back!
Its the principle!
Teas a chugging in the kitchen
Beefburgers cut into 1/8ths and rounded into meatballs, (60p) a tub of reduced sun dried tomatoes (17p) from the freezer later they look awesome. Chucked in some reduced veggies to bulk it up courgette, celery and a manky leek - (30p) now bubbling away and a pan of clapshot beside it (neeps and tatties) - about 20p
Should come in at £1.27 for 2-3 mealsI'll freeze a tea's worth and a lunch's worth before I plate up. DD is a gannet (takes after her mum!) so we'll still have lots.
Dug out all the oriental type extra's and the indian/mexican stuff - it was at the back of a basket. Now its handier I can use it up.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi pippi
Loving the lists. Glad you got your expenses back too.
I'm pleased to hear that you've got space in the poly tunnel at work. We've got a yard so everything here is in pots on the raised bit of the garden. I suppose the bit where you would have decking and nice outdoor furnitureours is covered in pots. Plus we've got the greenhouse which is a nice addition. It's only one of those plastic ones so it gets taken down and put away once we don't need it anymore then comes back out when we start planting again.
We've got tomatoes, onions, lettuce, peppers, potatoes, carrots, cucumber, rocket and strawberries as well as my new fruit trees. I'm really excited for this year. I would love a bit of a herb garden too but that will have to go on my to-do list I think for now.
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Oh wow! You can't put a link in a sig any more! Well, anybody wants it, pm me, I'm on here maybe 5 times a week, even if its not for very long
Its just a happy-focussed diary

Good for you KC
I'm just chilling (I know its late) head into a funding bid which is noodling my brain.
We (the charity I work for) deliver Love Food Hate Waste locally which is grand, but writing about it all just makes me hungry. Its funny writing it all up, as to be honest its so MSE that its almost blushful delivering it, I'm sure Martin must have had a hand in it all!

:hello: Morning!
KC I don't think that technically you've ever been able to put links in signatures on here without permission. You can put your homepage in your profile though - that's what I have I think.
Nice food selection there Pippi! Nice growing space availability too - I'm still limited to our pocket handkerchief-sized patch of earth as you know, plus pots. We have planted some tatties into what is technically a communal area though - hopefully they won't get nicked this time! :rotfl: I know SO many people who are having success with the square foot gardening thing though so that gives a bit of hope! The Gooseberries we planted last year are going completely mad and even the Currant has some flower on it this year - we planted that so long ago I can't even remember what colour it was!
Does Sage grow decently from a cutting? You can have a bit off my rampant bush if that helps any? (Provide instructions as to how to get it to grow if so!)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I did but you know how it is when you're writing and it gets focussed, time flies by. Hope you're good!
I have my blog (well ONE of them, I'm changing the main one and splitting up the food/gardening/walking, so now I have a new food one) on my homepage here, like EH says I think that's the only way you can. Goodluck with it! Hope you have fun today.EssexHebridean wrote: »:hello: Morning!

Glad you've tried the tatties again, be vigilant!

Sounds like the fruit garden is going well too.
I've found a wee sage at work, the garden guru heard of my plight and helped me out, but thanks they do go well from cuttings :T
