Royal Mail AGAIN

I thought theft in this country was illegal. Apparently it's not if you are Royal Mail
I never got the birthday card from my mum because it dissapeared. A letter I wrote to my bank earlier in the year which had to be signed for dissapeared. A parcel my bf tracked on the way to the states...dissapeared.
I expected a parcel to be delivered this week. Postie attempted to deliver while we were out. He popped a card through our door to say it had to be picked up at the sorting office. My bf phoned to arrange for it to be re-delivered to our local post office but after two days it still had not been delivered. So my bf cycled up to the sorting office to collect instead. The parcel wasn't there. It had vanished.
Royal mail don't give a f**k that our parcel has gone. They really, really don't. It might have been sent to the wrong place, it might not. Someone on the payroll might have stolen it, they might not. Either way they don't care. We have to wait 15 days before we can even report it as missing. And as we are the recipients of the parcel and therefore have no proof of postage they will do nothing about our missing parcel anyway.
This means that if someone did steal my mail, this person can quite happily carry on stealing my mail regardless and nothing is going to be done about it because no one in the company cares

i have just made a complaint to royal mail regarding my post, i received a letter this morning from the council tax dated the 30th April, checked the post mark date same as and i know it was posted 2nd class but 18 days is a bit excessive.
I have also spoke to the inland revenue who have told me that they sent me a cheque out first class over two weeks ago, still not arrived.
But i noticed that the post was arriving every other day, and i hadn't seen a post man on the days inbetween, so i spok to some neighbours who agreed that they were receiving their post every other day, spoke to the local delivery depot who agreed that they have ha trouble with the postmen and it was being delivered every other day.0 -
I have had BIG problems with a recorded delivery parcel. I sent it to someone (an ebay sale) and they never received it. Royal Mail told them it had been returned to me weeks ago, when I chased it up it took a week to be put through my letter box, opened with no apology or explanation.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

I have never had any problems.0

I've had a recorded delivery item go missing.
Plus where I live I often get our next door neighbours post. Which I duly stick through their door. (Strange that they never appear to get any of our post though:rolleyes: )
And on occassion we even get post for a completley different road on our estate.
In fact this week our CC statement is normally here on the 16th, 18th at the very very latest. But this month it hasn't appeared. Wonder where that's gone and who now has all our CC details?:mad:0 -
Our parcel finally arrived (very battered and with some of the items damaged) after being god only knows where and my bf having had to cycle up to the parcel depot twice because they never answer there phones
When the parcel finally arrived at the post office it turned out that the PO were collecting a list of customers who are having problems because there are so many complaints being made. The PO are also ticked off because they can't even get through to the parcel depot by phone either.**********************************************************************

Trouble is for every 5 honest posties, there are 5 dishonest. So I would take it as a hearted apology to half of the poststaff.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Recorded Delivery is rubbish because it goes in with all the other mail till it gets to sorting office, have to use special delivery which is tracked all the way but cost £4.80don't get mad do yoga0 -
In fairness, the OP didn't accuse anyone of stealing, just said that if someone was, the lack of itnerest would mean it could continue unchecked.0
