I'm 18 and i weigh 11:9 3/4 stone.
At the moment i can't afford to go to the gym
& I feel uncomfortable about going to weight watchers.
Every other week i spent 15 minutes walking to placement & 15 minutes walking back, and some times i walk for 45 minutes to go over my partners house.
I was wondering if there were any simple & cheap ways i could loose weight,at home or in a local filed ect..
i really want to loose some bum &thigh weight.
i do have a Wii & the wii fit games

Cut out white carbs. Do bodyweight exercises - push ups, pull ups, handstands etc. Go for a run with your partner, or a walk?
Stop focusing on the numbers...focus on your health. I'm pretty heavy because I powerlift, but I'm also pretty healthy

I got rid of 2 and a half stone just by watching my calorie intake and restricting it to 1500 or so a day. Averaged about 2lb a week weight loss. I'm now going to the gym 3 times a week to tone up as I've lost the weight I wanted to.
Don't snack, don't be tempted by all the things that made you put the weight on in the first place. The only way you'll lose weight is to focus on losing weight.
You don't even need to be totally obsessed by it either. As someone in the gym said to me earlier this week "Treat your body like a temple during the week and like a playground at the weekend". That's what I'd been doing and it worked.0 -
Have home made food, avoid oil and junk foods.Eat more in morning and less in night.Regular exercises and walking.0

The simplest answer: eat less and move more.
Don't snack. Eat a home-cooked meal, don't eat convenience foods, takeaways or snacky foods. Eat a proper breakfast, some form of egg is good. Avoid white or highly-processed foods, white flour, sugar, and also, avoid breakfast cereals because 99.9% of them are loaded with sugar, even the supposed 'healthy' ones.
If you watch programmes like 'Secret Eaters' you can easily see the traps that people fall into, and also, how it's possible to eat a lot and barely noticing it.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
Before I found wisdom, I became old.0 -
I used Weight Watchers for three years, first to lose two stone and then to keep it off.
I then realised that MyFitnessPal does EXACTLY the same thing as Weight Watchers and is free!
You can use the website or app - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/
It's the same as Weight Watchers in that you record everything you eat and drink. After entering your height, weight and goal (lose weight, stay the same or gain weight) it will calculate how many calories you should be eating per day, so will then tell you if you are eating too much.
You earn extra calories by entering any exercise you've done.
This is all identical to Weight Watchers, except WW uses "points" instead of calories. It works in the same way though.
I switched from WW to MFP at the start of this year and have still maintained my current weight successfully, so it works for me just as well as WW did and saves me £10 a month!
Losing weight is really, really simple. If you eat more calories than you use, you gain weight. If you eat less calories than you use, you lose weight. The hardest thing isn't finding the right website/app/slimming club - it's the willpower to eat less.
The good thing about WW or MFP is it shocks you - you realise just how much you're eating. But they will only work if you are absolutely honest and record everything you eat/drink.
Don't go in for any faddy diets or crazy recipes. When I lost weight I just reduced the portions of the things I'd been eating already (although takeaways had to go!). So long as you reduce your calories, it doesn't matter what you eat. In weight-loss terms at least. Obviously in health terms your food choices should be healthy. What you will find is that if you are eating unhealthy food then you won't be able to eat enough in your daily calorie limit to fill you up, so it does force you to make some healthier choices.0 -
As a quick tip on the healthy eating... be careful that you don't have a hugely radical change. Variety is the spice of life and that's especially important when it comes to eating healthy!
You'll want to make a good list of different meals you can eat that are both low carbohydrate intake and not too high in overall calories, if you mix them up you'll be fine; if you eat just one type, you may struggle!0 -

If you can afford some small dumbbells, you could try doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, which you can watch for free on YouTube. People have reported good losses on that. You have 3 levels and you do each level for 10 days. It's tough, but I think it gives you a good workout.0 -
Thank you for that link pinkteapot..just what I've been looking for.0
