Simple ways to loose weight

I don't remember which day I weighed, might have been Tuesday. However, I decided to make Saturday my day, easier to chart and avoid Friday treats.
I have put on 1 1/2 lbs! Unbelievable!, no wine or sweets, exercise!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

one big meal and a drink can weigh 2 pounds easily, and domestic scales aren't always accurate or consistent.
calorie control is the only easy way, far easier than exercise.!!

Doesn't matter what you eat or how it's cooked, too many calories in = add weight, too few in = lose weight.
Light mayo, chips, sugar, milk, biscuits all have calories
Limit yourself to 1000 calories a day, the weight will come off.
1000 calories is far too little. 1200 is more like a minimum, but most people will eat more than that and still lose weight, especially if they're overweight to begin with. I'm fairly slim and only 5'3" and I can lose weight at a pretty reasonable pace if I stick to 1300 calories. I'd have absolutely no energy on 1000 calories!Kate.0 -
0 is far too little, 1000 or 1200 calories is neither here nor there, a bar of chocolate, it all depends how fast someone wants to lose weight, 1300 calories is 3 pounds a month slower than 1000, lack of fast progress is why a lot of people give up or go fad hunting.!!

I disagree. 1000 calories is way to little, its a crash diet that puts your body in starvation mode. 1200 is much more of an ultimate minimum. That extra 200 calories wont be a bar of chocolate, it'll be a meal, or at least most of a meal. I can't eat 1200 calories stay full and eat chocolate! 1200 calories for me is enough to keep full if I eat healthily.0 -
All going off the point, the point was to lose weight, monitor and reduce calorie intake.!!

If you have too low a calorie intake and no energy you will not stick to it.
Reasonable calorie intake - my fitness pal does this for you - with some activity exercise helps you stick to it.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Years ago I lost weight on the F Plan, which was fibre based with calorie counting, too.
I am hoping the gain was a blip and am continuing to cut down portion sizes and to exercise. Wine is completely out. If I want a drink I have vodka and slim line tonic.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

agree, 1000 calories would be very very tough for most people, also depends on size of person, a 6foot2 fairly heavily muscled bloke would need more calories than a 5 foot slender female.
If 30 mins or more of exercise can be done several days a week then you can have the same effects eating more healthy food and not getting too hungry.0 -
Eat less move more
Ive lost nearly 2 stone now by just making simple changes to my diet like don't use olive oil use fry light and changing to skimmed milk (you cant notice the difference after a couple days)0
