Yep...it's a cheap way out for them. Here's £50 now bug*ger off. Meanwhile the CSA keep on making mistakes. Have another £50....and so on.0 -
I just chased mine up...MP has not even acknowledged receipt. Well done Pammi, great news that you are one of the tiny number that get taken up.0

Just read this discussion with interest, and although does nothing to help the predicament you're in, I have used ICE in the past and they were fantastic, resolved my complaint within four weeks. Don't know if it made a difference, but all correspondance I had with them I backed up with emails so had a 'real time' log of everything, no get out clause then! Guess the ICE system is the same as the csa, just depends who you get dealing with the case :-(0

Got an acknowledgement from the PO, and then a letter to say they are taking a closer look to see if they will investigate it, fingers crossed, but I do not see how they can NOT investigate it. I was denied my rights to a claim for child support for a year....has to be some sort of human rights argument.....while the CSA facilitated the other parents non support of a child. I have to say, I am genuinely excited about things hitting fans.....what sort of resolutions do they offer? I have a £100 from HMRC on it's way for their screw ups! Only taken 3 years and an adjudicators decision for them to concede!0

Re: Things hitting fans:D
It depends. Every case is unique.
I've been twice to the PO (this was when you could bypass ICE). In both cases I received five figure sums plus interest. And lots of apologies, although the CSA apologies are more like crocodile tears. Nevertheless the CSA continued to 'mess up' after all that.
The PO report made for very interesting reading because it was extremely thorough.
You are getting somewhere. Keep going.:)0 -

When I went to ICE ( couldn't bypass them straight to the PO anymore) it took them 12-18 months...can't remember exactly...before they started on the case. I wasn't impressed with ICE. Short staffed I believe.0 -
five figure sums plus interest? were you owed money? Mine would only be compensation.
How do you think I did with HMRC - hundred quid?0 -

You are owed money, aren't you? As maladminstration has occurred ( I assume) the dosh plus interest and compo are owed to you. The compo is usually decided by the PO.
As for HMRC I've no idea, but well done.:D0 -
Not owed money. I was the NRP, but pursued for a year after I became the PWC, and therefore denied my right to a legal claim for child support.0
