  • Have not made any additional payments to Lucas for 2 days and I'm getting frustrated with it. There's a few direct debits coming out of the bank tomorrow and I'm hoping there'll be a few pounds spare to transfer.

Have received no news from Unison so don't know if they are going to help me with anything and no more news from the ppi enquiries so all very disappointing on that front.

Tonight's plans are very boring as am just planning to pop some boxes up the attic ready for the next car boot sale. Not got very much left but I'll keep adding to it until there's enough to make a profit.

Rest of the night will be spent chilling out after a busy weekend of cleaning.

  • Have just logged onto online banking and only have a spare £2 to transfer to Lucas. Was hoping it would be more but I suppose every penny counts.

Nothing else to report so off to update my signature.

  • I know. I can't wait to clear it and move onto another creditor.

Had a letter back from Halifax today stating they don't think my ppi was mis-sold. Have written to them appealing the decision so hopefully get them to change their minds.

Not heard anything back from Unison either, was hoping to have had a response this week.

Constantly thinking of ways to make money!

  • Have woken up with a black cloud over me today. Got a massive headache and not in the mood to do anything. It's times like this I would normally spend money on myself to cheer me up. Unfortunately that can't happen today because I only have 0.42p to my name.

So the plan is to catch up on the washing and drying. Have taken some paracetamol to try to chase away a headache and have also listed an item for sale on Amazon. Have been out and posted my letter to Halifax appealing against the ppi decision so will keep my fingers crossed they'll change their mind.

Not a bad start to the day even for someone feeling a bit aaarrrrggghhh.

  • After not feeling great yesterday have woken up in a completely different mood this morning. Have made breakfast, mowed the lawn and taken a shower. Am now thinking about the mountain of ironing I have to do so that's the next job on my list. Am going to relist my table and chairs on Gumtree and also going to list some universal roof rack bars that I have. Managed to gather £18.50 worth of stuff last night for music magpie so I feel I am getting somewhere. Have decided that the extra cash I make will go towards soe days out when I'm on leave in a few weeks time. That way a few days out won't affect my debt busting.

Unfortunately no spare cash to pay to Lucas today, next money to hit the bank will be child benefit on Tuesday so am hoping to put a few quid from that against the balance.

  • Good evening all. Have had a fabulous day today, first of all I've paid £3 off Lucas and then had an email from Unison saying they will pay off my council tax arrears and also some of my gas arrears. To say I am relieved is an understatement. Don't know how much of the gas will be paid but whatever it is it'll be a big help.

I'm feeling a lot more positive about things, just hope this good luck will last. Off to update my signature.

  • Really good news. Hopefully being clear of council tax arrears will free up something to throw at another debt.

That's great news, and gives you a bit extra for debt-busting
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
