As you can't do anything about the creditors, why not use the angry energy to complete your expenses claim right away?

I was very angry after being invited to a training day to find that the organisers didn't know if they had the budget for expenses. Sorry, maties, but I've just driven 400 miles round trip and I'm not prepared to subsidise your enterprise for that. Another delegate had flown in from NI.

Am still in a very positive mood regarding clearing the debt. Took lunch to work today as I didn't have money to buy anything so even though I didn't manage to save anything, I also didn't manage to spend anything which is pretty good for me. I only need to get through tomorrow and then it's pay day :). Got 4 items for sale on eBay and three of the items have 2 watchers each so hopeful I'll make a bit of money there, also got two bikes and a broken iPod that I need to list. Planning on listing the iPod by tomorrow and the bikes by the end of the weekend.
I've just been reading your blog so WELL DONE and GOOD LUCK. 4 years ago someone accessed my accounts and stole everything I had, it took the bank months to give me my money back and I ended up in debt for the first time in my life. It was heartbreaking and stressfull because all my creditors closed in and demanded the money I owed them. I received help and support from step change and instead of taking 6 years to clear the debt its only taken me 4 years. getting rid of the car and using the bus saved me a fortune, using ebay to buy clothes and sell what I didn't need raised some much needed cash as well and like you I started taking packed lunches. Ive changed so much thanks to this site and all the folks like you making a difference not only to ourselves but to others. Only 4 months to debt free with only our mortgage to clear now. Will I ever have debt again? Not a chance. I need a new boiler but I would rather sit cold through a winter and save up and same for our roof with the holes in it.

  • Thanks for the support guys. I know everyone has a story to tell so I'm pleased you chose to read my story.

I seem to get more bad days than good days but can only plod on.

    So today's money news is:

Submitted expenses - am now owed approximately £80
Sold loads of CDs to music magpie for £34.90
    Paid £6 to Lucas.
Have gathered all the information for Unison so will post that off tomorrow

Not bad considering it's another week until payday.

No news back from any of the ppi queries - I think I've exhausted everyone now. Am planning on a no spend weekend doing some work in the garden - well that's the plan.

  • Nothing exciting happening today. Didn't have a very good nights sleep last night so may have to have a power nap this afternoon

No good news in the mail today and no additional payments to Lucas. Will need to pop out at some point later for some essentials such as bread but definitely need some shut eye first x

  • Had a little power nap, popped out for some essentials and caught up with all the washing. Not bad for a boring Saturday

  • Another nothing day today on the money front. No additional payments to Lucas :(

On a positive front, took packed lunch to work today and have put up an extra curry tonight to take to work for dinner tomorrow so that's 2 no spend days.

Can't wait for payday on Friday, am really struggling with only 41p in the bank.

  • Not a lot going on today. No further payments to Lucas, can't see any additional payments until Friday when it's payday and tax credits day. Hopefully pay a bit off then but until the pay hits the bank there's nothing I can do.

Have cooked some extra tea again tonight to take to work tomorrow so it'll be another 'no spend on lunch' day.

Managed to finally post the letter off to Unison so that should be with them tomorrow and hopefully they can review my case and decide if they are able to assist me in any way. Fingers crossed something will come.

No mail off the postman today so no good (or bad) news to come Home to.

Jobs for tonight are to email one of my creditors which I've done
Burn some rubbish in the garden
    Sort the shed out
List my dining table and chairs on Gumtree.

  • Hi Shinner, thanks for dropping in. I'm another day closer to payday, only have to get through tomorrow which is doable.

No mail again today, beginning to think the postman is avoiding me. I normally have bad news but occasionally something positive arrives - I feel I'm due for something positive soon.

The unison guys should have had my information today so it's just a matter of sitting back and waiting for a response. Really hoping some help will come through.

Have prepared some lunch for tomorrow so that will be 4 days in a row that I've not spent money in work which is a fantastic achievement for me.
