Well you can take a chance and never submit any tax, but it will come to bite you sooner or later. Everyone gets audited at least once and when they do they will ask for all your income proof, and if you have none they will ask you how you supported yourself. Which will also take into acount your property, rent etc and living expenses.

You're taking a big chance there.

Tax evasion is one of these things that you dont hear about because people are ashamhed to admit they've evaded tax (or they fear being "grassed"). When someone gets audited and force to pay tax or get sent to prison, it's not something they'd openly admit either so there's little information online on people having tax shortfall/audit concerns.
