Hi Z, No purely for financial reasons. 177% seems ridiculous to pay and if i can get it down just a bit then i can concentrate on overpaying the other debt, Good to hear from you!
Sorry to hear things are a bit pffffttt there seaxwyn, (Thats meant to be a raspberry incase you wondered!) Feel exactly the same, loads of work so should be grateful! But kinda snowed under lol.
Grrr at OH, you're paying that man to be working not chatting, but i'm sure it isn't as you are such a nag, chances are he thinks hes being friendly and doesn't realise he is stopping him working. A big hug form me in your direction though, just to make you feel better. Right i'm off to travel the country and play postwoman, Talk later!! XXdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
well, was heading for non essential spend free day mark 3 today,
paid postage yesterday, can be reclaimed through work and petrol, again can be reclaimed through work.
The nwe wen out for a "free" meal with oh's folks tonight, was really really lovely..... except, as they were paying felt morally obliged to get a couple of rounds in, £28.75 later!!!! eep!! going to have to really really pull the belt in for the rest of the month. Only good news OH managed to get loan approved to sort the car scenario out and clear rest of his debts off, so although still in debt will be manageable and trust me i'll be watching him like a hawk!! So therefore maybe he'll buy me a tank of petrol to get through the month when the money comes through!! :-)
Anyway, has been a lovely evening, off to bed shortly. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Glad you had a nice evening! Am at the ski club all day today - if you are out and about and passing, I will get you a cuppa in!
I hope you have a good day and you manage to get loads of lovely work done! Did you make a decision about the provi man (well, not about the man himself, you already having a man, but you know what I mean!)?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. ooooh trust me, this provi man is god personified, it's the massive beer belly, just gets me every time!! would gladly swap my OH for a man who's erm, yeah, words fail me!!!! lets just say is easy to see where my money goes, heres a hint...
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: only messing, yep i think it makes more sense to loose the interest rate and what with him not keeping to his agreement and all that...think i'll drop the boss an e-mail to explain what i am doing so he can't throw any objections on it at our next monthly meeting!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Well the post man today has bought something really quite fabby,
a cheque for lots of money? nope
a refund from my bank, fat chance.
It has bought a card from my dad, not mum and dad, not mum writing as dad, but from my dad.
They came up at the weekend to see us and was really nice as i could see dad was making a real effort to build some bridges, they went home and today i got a card to myself and OH thanking us for a lovely weekend, his birthday pressie and signed "love dad".
Some of you may know that my relationship with my father has been distinctly rocky over the last few years with us on many occasions barely talking to each other for months on end, this has been extraordinarily painful to bear on many occasions, particularly with dads op looming.
So this has meant the world to me and i feel asthough maybe now our relationship will move forward and get bacK onto a slightly more even keel. it's amazing how something as simple as a card can completely change your day.
I'm over the moon "thanks dad". xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Oh pania, I'm so glad to hear that, what lovely news.
Relationships are the most important thing, far more than money, and having a supportive family is worth more than millions in the bank.
Here's hoping you can rebuild things with your dad.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Thats lovely, pania, especially with the relationship having been rocky. My rel. with my dad was never really too rocky, but I can count on the fingers of one hand the times he sent me something separately from my mum - and that was in the days when we didn't phone like we do now. Something written thats so rare is very special, I'm glad you have it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

That's good news. My post just consisted of a letter from Barclays saying
"tough, your bank charge claim is on hold so we keep hold of the cash we robbed from you for another year or so"
and one from the court saying "your case is stayed for the forseeable future so robbing barclays can hold onto your cash for a bit longer"

Morning P, that's lovely news about your dad and glad you had a nice evening! I'm also on minimal spending for the rest of the month (going out this weekend but already got the cash out for that) - 14 days till payday and counting!
I am still staring at your positive thinking quotes trying to make them sink in
Have a good day.. oh just seen your other post so stop reading this now! :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
