Hi Pania
Glad to hear you so much more upbeat today. And impressed to hear OH is selling the car! And I'm glad you've shelved the plan to buy a house.
Forgive me for being nosy, but if your long-term goal is to move to New Zealand, why buy a house here? You'll only get stuck here for longer paying for it. Some friends of mine were in the process of buying a place in Wallington, Surrey, and realised their small deposit could buy them a flat outright in Wellington, NZ. Wallington or Wellington? No brainer.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Hey there guys! only just managed to catch up on my own thread! hectic i tell ya hectic!!
Ok, so why to buy a house here, hmmmm, I think the plan for NZ is a long way off at the moment, and is currently only my longing not that of OH also.
It will sound stupid but NZ is my home, it is where i have felt the most accepted and comfortable in my life the times i've been there. I am absolutely desperate to go back but i have to face reality and with these debts there ain't no chance of me getting to live there for atleast the next 5 years. Due to immigration laws etc.
off to iron OH's shirt, to be continued....debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

I have just filled in the paperwork for the "eat a mahoosive cake and then give a blood sample" thing, and I am a little concerned.
No, I am not bothered by giving blood. I am not bothered by becoming a foodie human guinea pig.
I am bothered because "Laptop computers may be used in the unit but we don't have access to the internet" That's it! I'm not doing it. There is no way that I should be expected to have my laptop with me and NOT to have access to MSE!!!!!
