Back and Feeling rather ashamed!

Hi Pania
Hangovers are just rotten aren't they - hope it soon cleared up and you caught up with sun rays
Have fun decorating as well, I like starting it but then leave it as I get bored and want DH to finish it!
Am currently drinking lager shandy  we are having a romantic DFW meal tonight, he's making starters and I'm doing the pudding - except I'm not as I'm on here. Hopefully the kids are knackered and will be in bed in an hour so we can have some well deserved peace and quiet.
Hope you had a lovely day
p.s. have you worked out the matched betting yet?0 -
Hi seaxwy thats a excellent idea and would work some of the chubbiness off each of us to!! :T DP is only a baby at 3 bless him, but i do need a brave little jockey to jump on his back for me and teach him what it's all about(would be like a thelwell cartoon if i were to do it!):rotfl: toying with the idea of getting him a companion from the rescue centre just down the road doesn't cost anything and the field i use is free, so could use DPmk2 to do some lessons on.:j
Put him back in the field and realised the owners dog was in there a little too late. watching DP shooting over to him i feared onset of WW3, only to see dog lay flat on his stomach and staying there while samson "groomed" him all over his back with his lips for ten minutes!!! was sooooo cute it bought a tear to my eye, managed to get a photo on my mobile of it bless him!!
Hi BA, good to hear from you. Hangover gone now, bit of a run in the country with DP in the sun has done the world of good. Just got home to see all the housework i have to do and suddenly i feel rotten again!:p
May well leave it and go paint instead. got F.I.L.2.B coming round in the morning. Got the materials for a desk, 2 shelves, white paint and lemon paint for £26!!! now how's that for decorating DFW style!
not figured out the matched betting yet. Has our thread got a new home yet? I've lost it and cannae find it again! Larger shandy, mmmm, teleport me one over! actually after last night, prob not good idea!:rotfl:
Hope you enjoy the meal with OH, we all need little things like that to keep us going. but for god's sake FORGET ABOUT THE LOOSE CHANGE!!:p :rotfl:
Sorry.
Have a great time, i'm home alone aaalllll day and evening. is bliss!

I think DS is hoping I will forget about the loose change too :rotfl:
Pie not looking too good so I might have to relent
I know you mentioned the other day about not knowing many people where you are yet and it got me thinking... always a dangerous thing. Idea to work at cricket club is a really good one, but do you go out with OH at night and meet his friend's partners? When I first started seeing DH *crikey years ago now* I didn't know any of his friends and now they are all really really good friends. I met my best friend through DH. It does take a bit of time and sometimes effort, but it is also quite convenient - we go out together and see our friends at the same time,
Just a thought - but I am also on my 3rd pint on lager/shandy so I am alcohol influenced :rotfl:0 -
thats ok alcoholic influence always good! have met his bessie mates other half who is lovely but lives a long way away. met some of the cricket girlfriends but they cannot understand why i choose to spend my saturday sitting at the side of a pitch when i could be shopping, there are a couple of nice ones, just need to stop being so bloomin shy (yes honestly, the internet is a great place to not be shy as no one ever meets you he he!) and go for it. OH goes out on his own quite alot of the time to cricket nets or games workshop (don't ask!) where it's kind of a man thing! would love to go but not allowed!
Still, he's been lovely to me lately. We had a real long heart to heart last night in the pub about my family and things that have happened to me in my past which led to lots of tears and the hangover this morning! He was so so supportive about things i thought he'd freak out about, he just said to me "you need to realise how much i love you. i'm here behind you and however long it takes you to sort this i'll be with you" Has made me feel SOOO much better about being here and the loneliness much more tolerable!!
Anyway lady get off DFW and go sort your meringue!! ;-)
big hugs

The cricket club bar idea is a good one - I did similar with the ski club for a while in their coffee shop/bar and got to meet no end of people, not like working in a city bar where people push and shout and are horrid at times, and got to make some extra money into the bargain!
I am sure the cricket club people are fine upstanding members of the community who will be very polite when ordering their drinks - it will feel almost civilised!
Re Matched betting, if you want to meet up armed with laptop, I am more than happy to go through it with you. Let me know. BAUK will have to be there telepathetically though I thinkSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Yay to telepathic presence or even MSN :j
P, your OH sounds lovely and well worth the move. I bet in a few months down the line, you will have got to know a lot more people there, esp with summer nights coming up. We sometimes go and watch cricket with the kids because it's really quite relaxing and so I'm sure there will be lots of other people there for you to meet and get to know.
Off to rescue the egg whites :eek:0 -
Can i take you up on that Hypno? would be really helpful.
The cricket club is full of civilised chairman and specatators.... until the oh and his troop of merry cricketers come in then it all goes to pot!! ;-) is certainly an option worth investigating so watch this space!
My OH is getting lovelier but i think TBH part of the problems we've had has been my fault due to insecurity, financial negativity etc. think we are both growing together which is really nice.
How the egg whites doing BA?debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Of course you can, wouldn't have offered if I didn't mean it!
Just PM me with a couple of times and we can arrange to meet up and matched bet away!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
