What's a note on the winscreen anyway? I get them all the time for parking on public roads in front of peopls houses!
So you're the annoying [STRIKE]idiot[/STRIKE] person who does that then? Have you no respect for the people who live there?0 -

If there are plenty of spaces, why bother putting a note on the car! Surely there is no problem if there are plenty of spaces!
The only solution to this problem is to have a gated access/key fob etc....otherwise the problem will not go away.0 -

Because if everyone thought the same as you then there wouldn't be plenty of spaces. Can you not even imagine how annoying it would be to come home and find you can't even get parked in a space that is actually earmarked for residential parking or one that you have a permit for?
Those streets where the council have signs up giving you one hour (disc zone), that's fine, but to actually park in a residential parking place, that's not on.0 -

So on that basis, as I have plenty of spare space on my drive, it's ok for random people to park on that, then?0 -
I think what's winding me up more at the moment, even more so than the topic in question, is the fact the OP came here with a question in my mind that they wanted answered, started a topic on it, and then p****d off! Its so annoying when people do that! :mad:0

I've never parked in a flat complex that is private, and would never so so intentionally.
But the Op was sure that it was public land, which means any-one can park there?
I would never park on any-ones drive, only with there permission of course!
I have to agree with a lot of you that it's completely annoying that you find "your" parking space which you pay for occupied, but that is another thread!0 -

I just want to apologise for sounding so harsh in my previous post as well, the term idiot was more meant for the kind of person that parks where they shouldn't in general and not just exclusively directed at you.0 -
