Oddly enough the cheese in our Sainsburys seemed to be normal price last night, perhaps its not a big enough store. S0 I nipped into Morrisons and it was the special offer price there in packs with 50% free extra instead so I used my 30p off there and also got a few more Best on the way out. We go through a block a week so a useful saving.

Worth getting a good stock of these in because of the long coupon dates, also nice to have coupons on everyday items and these items often have offers on them.
I have just checked prices on mysupermarket.co. uk and sainsburys seem to have a 250g box of Kelloggs cornflakes for 85p, OK it is not the one on the coupon but is the till girl really going to realise this?
Also Pilgrims choice is £1.64 at sainsburys, not sure how long these offers are on for but the cheese is cheaper than Aldis 99p for 200g anyway!
Mr Brains are also a good cheap meal.
I've been using some money off coupons at Sainsburys, all legal and valid ones, well mostly. It feels a bit like staff trainign getting them used to taking them and it makes a change from hanging around Tesco!

Had a quick look at Woman and just saw the 30p Kelloggs MOC.

Good grief its turing out to be another good week for mags isnt it! I am just hoping my 200 points WHSmith coupon works this week, I had to have them manually added last Friday.

I've noticed that Weight watchers meals appear a few times this week and some people might actually want to buy them this week - especailly those watching the gut wrendingly dreadful Boots beach gorgeous advert!

Not sure if they are the right ones yet but the WW meals are on offer in several places but the best place is Tesco itself, some appear to be just £1 until July 31st. So again you can have the pleasure of going to the nastiest till ogre with your WW selection and your pile of 50ps which grudgingly she wont have an excuse not to take!

Thank you for drawing our attention to current supermarket offers Mary, I always read your posts with great interest. I'm in desperate need to stock up on cereal bars (hubby eats quite a few as snacks while at work) and WW meals, so your posts on the topic have been particularly useful to me.

I'm pretty much tied to shopping at Tesco, but find Marys post really useful for comparing prices and will sometimes hold on til I can get to Superdrug or Boots to buy items which are cheaper than Tesco would be with coupons. After all, the coupons come off my shopping anyway :D

I'm still having trouble with some of last weeks Best coupons, but a lovely sa today keyed in the non scanning coupon.... then asked if I had any more!!! She only took 2 more coupons, but was well aware of the 5 coupon policy, so I was really pleased to save a little more than I'd expected.

Now hoping that this weeks Best coupons scan better. I've only got 1 copy to see which ones will work. I'd be interested to know if the Little Squirts coupons scan without buying the item in Tesco.

Mary, I tried to use the 200p WHS voucher today (they have a great sale on at the moment, got loads of stuff) and the points didn't go on. SA had to enter them on manually. I wonder if they have noticed people are using the same voucher more than once.

I used some of the MOCs from last week's Best mag and the SA had to use his handheld scanner on some of them but was more than happy to do so :D . It was quite weird doing a shop without ANY H&B or Healthcare items and instead of all those coupons I used a bundle of the 20p/30p/50p MOCs to bring down the total. Rounded it off with a DM £4 and then a £5 Unilever (Impulse) one and paid £12.

Noticed on the way out a Product Recall sign behind CS about a kettle I bought a few months back, so feel another trip to Tesco coming on! Am determined NOT to go in every day though ;) .

The same happened with me last Friday in a very small WHSmiths so I was sent across the road to find the supervisor to manually add the points on - yes the WHSmith is in two bits in our little town.
I am all set to try again later in the week but I am moving my points firstly onto a gift card.

Bit worrying this. The worst bit is having to switch alegence and go back to buying mags from Tesco

    Hiya,
The good news is that, no, these coupons are not set at the till to only work if you buy the products.....so if you are lucky with your chosen SA at Sainsburys you can use their coupons against anything. I wouldn't hand over all the magazine coupons at once though, I think even the doziest SA would suss that you wouldn't have bought all the items...

I try to confuse the issue by buying something I have a coupon for (maybe the free Lurpak that some of us had so many coupons for, eh MBN?!) then including a few of their magazine coupons, then maybe a Nectar points one for spending a certain amount, and maybe a cereal coupon or two when I have bought some other cereal. Oh and maybe a Woman's Own coupon when I have bought Take a Break, you get the picture. If they ask 'did you buy that?' I am a bit cheeky and say 'oh yes, that was the cereal/my magazine' and rustle among my bags a bit, it seems to work!
